If telltale made an episode where no one dies?

I've been pondering this for a while, what if telltale had an episode where none of the main group dies? and instead the entire episode focuses on developing everyone while some other major events happen? Would this seem rather boring if not a single major death occured? Episode 2 is one of my favorites, and all major deaths in it are determinant (unless you count Walter).

No they dont need to kill someone every episode and they especially dont have to kill/ remove the entire group in episode 5 every time. Each season just feels like a separate enitity it needs a group of steadily developing characters not just clementine lurching to one group and another

  • Then it should extend to ALL characters, including CLementine. That BS where she got shot, and is "fine" really annoyed me.

The vulnerability of death happening at any time is kind of what makes the franchise. Especially considering this is a five episode season, I find it hard to believe TT would not kill someone in every episode.

  • I would be a very happy individual if they decided that we could have a group live through at least 1 season. This whole BS about Clem being on her own isn't the way to do things at least not every single season.

Thank friggin god is all I can say if that ever happens! Just think of all the beeeeautiful character development; nobody would ever be bland or be a plot device ever again.

...hey, did I tell ever you frozen lakes suck? ^_^

  • I still want to see an episode with clementine totally alone.

I thought episode 4 of season 2 was a good opportunity for that, but yeah, didn't happen.

  • Perhaps they all live due to the choices you make, with it actually paying off big time later in the season? Having no one major die in an episode would feel idk...weird is a good word. I'm sure regular people who just play this game once would feel bored or wouldn't take the game seriously without the constant reminder of death.

  • It would be intresting insted of boring. You know. You are waiting 'for someone to die and maby suffer before it, and at the end of episode you have this relief feeling...
But thats propably never gonna happend. If it would, then hell will froze... Or some other situation like that ;)

  • is this a trick question. who doesn't die in episodes come on now mang

  • That is a great idea, I mean developing characters would be amazing at this point.

The episode in which no one dies is the day everyone will celebrate and there will be little spoiler tags on the forums.

    But...

that day is nothing but a dream, a very happy dream.

  • If you're talking about just main characters then A New Day

  • Carley OR Doug, one always dies

  • We have chapters already without deaths now we just need an episode

  • ast episode everyone dies

TTG got that on check, except CLEMENTINE.

  • what about episode 1, i'm pretty much tired of the same story dynamics. Shes alone, finds a group, everyone dies. If they do that again...

  • what if it was done like Mass effect, where someone is going to die, but you have a little bit more control over it.

There's always a risk of someone dying, it's the zombie apocalypse. But the impact of the story relies on making the players care about what happens to the characters, and making the players care relies on character development.

It might be more effective to have more character development and fewer senseless deaths, overall. That way, more time could be spent developing the characters, and what deaths that do happen will pack a bigger 'wallop' to the players.

  • I thought episode 4 she could mabe escape howe's but have literally no-one.

Hence the 'ruins' she's amid- no-one but dead bodies and the remains of human culture.

  • Telltale should have that comment framed on their wall in their story writing room thingy.

  • IT would be fantastic if this happenend but i doubt it,now you're gunna get 'but it's called the walking dead for a reason...no happy endings etc'....

  • If Telltale made an episode where nobody dies.....

    Hell would freeze over

  • Like Luke?

If Telltale made an episode where nobody dies..... Hell would freeze over

  • Wait a minute. If Telltale created an episode where no one died, than hell would freeze over this creating a reverse effect on earth where Luke would be resurrected!!
