The Battle of New Market. A battle famous for the inclusion of the cadets of Virginia Military Institute in the fight.
The Confederation States of America's Western Virginia Army led by John C. Breckinridge defeated the Union Army of West Virginia led by Franz Sigel and prevented the Federal Army from taking over the Shenandoah River Valley. This victory for the South resulted in a far longer war, because the Shenandoah Valley was the breadbasket of Virginia, supplying the Confederate Army, and protected General Robert E. Lee's communication line's to western Virginia.
That is the details of the battle. A reenactment is basically just a historical copy of it. We reenacted the Confederate charge on the Union lines.
Well, we had a practice last night, which was extremely boring and we did like nothing but stand. We did do our charge, but we messed it up because we were supposed to march and then charge. We just charged. One of my friends purposely tripped another one of my friends in that. So funny. I was doing the Rebel Yell during that.
Earlier today we basically did the same thing, only we waited and it was better because we did it right and when we marched, then doubled up, and then finally charge it was so satisfying seeing the Union reenacters fleeing as they were supposed to. The charge didn't last as long as the dud one, but it was still fun.
Here's some background I wrote to Mark about the battle itself:

Great drawing! But I just want to tell her that she wouldn't have to open her right eye so wide if she's uncover her left eye.
I shudder to think what she would do if Telltale still had the Dislike button active, and I disliked the post!
