Gameplay

I am new to this genre of games and don't.know how to manipulate the characters. Is there a tutorial available?

  • Well. if you are playing on a computer you use the WASD keys to walk and use the mouse to click choices and things to interact.

Playing on with Xbox or Playstation you walk with the left stick and use the right stick to move the cursor and the buttons to interact.

On ios you drag your finger on the screen to walk and tap icons to interact

  • It's somewhat point and clicky in some cases, otherwise it's mostly an interactive movie. You're simply walking around (analog sticks for Xbox, PS3, WASD keys for PC, or dragging your finger on the screen for IOS)

  • The gameplay is pretty simple. During cutscenes, you select dialogue using your mouse cursor (for PC/Mac)/touch screen (for mobile devices)/console controller buttons. When you are walking around, you use WASD on your keyboard/drag the touch screen/use the left analog stick to move. The gameplay is deliberately simple as Telltale wants players to focus on the story.

The earlier scenes in the first episode of each Telltale game explain how to play, but again, it's pretty simple.

  • I keep getting killed by the guy with the ax. I can avoid the first attack but then a circle comes up and no matter what I do to it, the guy kills me.

  • Whenever a circle comes up, you just click it.

  • I tried that Blind Sniper. It didn't work, I still got killed.

So even if you click on the smaller red circles with the left mouse button, nothing happens? Do you mean to say that you think the game is glitched (as in you understand the game controls and think you are doing the right thing, but still, nothing happens in the game), or do you mean to say that you don't understand the game controls? If you think the game is glitched, you can leave a post in the Wolf Among Us Support forums.

If you don't understand the controls, I can try to explain but again the controls are purposefully simple as Telltale wants people to focus on the story. Basically, whenever you are in a fight cut scene, you will see small red circles on a person or an object that you have to click on with the left mouse button. A small red circle on a character or an object means Bigby (the character you play as) can interact with that other person/object.

  • How can it be so hard, man? It's very simple, lol while in a fights, and when you see a red circle or purple/pink left click on it (if on pc)

  • Oh, I think I figured out where you are stuck at. When the circle comes up, keep tapping over and over.

  • I'm not using a mouse, I'm using an iPad. I figured it out. You didn't tell me that a broken circle requires you to tap it continuously until the objective is reached. Great game, I just finished chapter 1. I assume it's less expensive to purchase the whole game rather than the separate chapters right? I can't wait to play more. Thanks for the help.

  • This advice would have been appreciated the first time I posted. Thanks anyway. Sometimes you just have to figure things out for yourself, as frustrating as it can be. I hope you will be around the next time I need help. Thank you for being clear and precise.

  • Ah, so that was the problem. Glad to hear you figured it out! Yeah, some prompts require you to keep tapping the icon until the circle fills up.

  • I think we just misunderstood what prompt you were referring to; a few of the different prompts all use circles.
