Did Anyone Honestly Think Kenny Would've Come Back
I'm not gonna lie, I'm one of the biggest Kenny fans out there, and when he was lost in season 1 I was crying because he was/is one of my favorite characters aside from Lee and Clementine. When he came back in season 2 I didn't know how to act, I was surprised that he had come back and pulled a "Tyreese" I guess you could call it, tell me what you guys thought when we lost him in season 1 and whether or not he had actually died or pulled a "Ty"
Have a nice day

"I thought you were dead." ~Clem
I obsessed over this for the longest time in the wait between S2, Ep. 1 and 2. I thought it was gonna be Lilly tbh. Kenny seemed screwed in both scenarios in Season 1 (alley w/ Ben, or room of walkers to rescue Christa). So no. I did not think he would come back.
EDIT - Same to you! Have a lovely day.
I was happy he came back and because you never actually see him "die" I held hope that he might come back Kenny is and always will be my favourite walking dead character.
I actually thought he would and at the end of All That Remains when Clem says "I thought you were dead" , I was like Kenny Confirmed. Then when he did return I was like called it but OMG THAT BEARD.
I honestly felt like it was Christa or Lilly.
But when the files confirmed it was Kenny...
I thought anyone without an onscreen death in season 1 couldve
Yeah, loads of people. You should have been here in the height of the kdb, after season 2 episode 1.
It was really annoying.
Yes. Why else would they not show his "death" onscreen?
Glad it was him and not anyone else, though. Lilly got on my nerves and Christa would've been too predictable.
I wasn't sure if he'd come back, but I knew Kenny wasn't dead. Saying in the character card thing that he was lost in the herd and the fact we didn't exactly hear him die, pretty much confirmed it for me he was still alive when a bunch of people were writing him off as dead.
But that whole 'I thought you were dead' teaser, yeah I split between thinking it was Kenny or Lilly.
I think you'll find it harder to find someone who didnt think he would come back. That was before season 2 even came out
I was actually mad when Kenny came back, because i knew he had zero chance of living, then the lucky comment.
I figured the guy was alive thanks to his special stats screen. Putting 2 and 2 together wasn't really that hard during that "next time on TWD". Still it was nice moment in the game for this reunion and it was still a very emotional send off in S1.
Telltale themselves said that "We will explore Kenny's fate" so it was pretty obvious that the "I thought you were dead" person would be Kenny. Though I hoped it'd be someone else. Blah.
I did think Kenny was alive and I hoped. Why would you think it was Lilly? Clem has no reason to think she is dead.
I thought it was pretty stupid that they brought him back. Then TT doesn't even explain how he escaped, the only thing we have to go on is "I got lucky" which is pretty stupid.
I was personally hoping for someone else, but I was expecting Kenny.
I thought Kenny was dead or would appear later, it seemed like it was going to be to obvious it was going to be Kenny, but there he was
I actually thought it was Christa at first, and didn't think it was Kenny until I started hearing more theories and all. By the time A House Divided came out though, I was 99% sure it was him .
i didnt want kenny to come back i didnt like kenny since ep 2 but i did in ep 1
I was expecting LIlly.
When they say explore, they mean explain away in the most Vague way of "lucky."
I wasn't surprised. I never did think he had died. In pretty much all the other deaths you got to see them die. When it didn't show him die, or scream like he was dying I figured he got away.
Kenny was running narrowly. His bullshit can give luck
Nope. I thought It'd be either Christa, A St. John, or Glenn for some reason.
Exactly. I just wish it was Lilly though... Lilly was cool.
I did not think he'd comeback. I was ready to go all in for Christa to be the "I thought you were dead" person. I thought it was pretty cool for him to determinantly put down Ben, and then never heard from again. But then he says, "Couldn't help the kid, but I got out." In A House Divided.
You had 1 bullet and 1 job Kenny.
Well, my ending for Kenny in S1 was where he "died" while trying to save Ben and I didn't expect him to come back since I found it implausible. However, if my canon was the scenario where he saves Christa it would have made much more sense to me since we don't actually see what kind of room he is in. In the Ben scenario it was clearly shown what kind of predicament he was in and to me it seemed pretty darn hard to get away from it. I thought there was no way they could come up with an explanation for it so I guessed that, to be more safe, maybe they would choose someone more ambiguous like Lily. Well, little did I know Kenny did come back with a convenient "I got lucky!" explanation. =P
When a character is 'killed' off-screen, the storyteller is telegraphing to the audience that they will return. It's typical in film to use this technique.
Are you kidding me? St. Johns can die and Glenn is dead in the comics.
You shouldn't have sided with Lilly
As I said,
As in, it was stupid to think. I'm quite aware of all of these things, But thanks for being a Jackass. XD No offense
Of course. I don't really like Kenny (ok, maybe now I like him a little, but after season 1 I literally hated him) but it was obvious to me it was gonna be him. No one else really made sense. Clem had no reason to think Lily was dead (at least if she wasn't left by Lee), the same about Christa - Clem was still looking for her so she wouldn't be so surprised. Some people called Moly but her "death" was also determinant.
As someone pointed above, there were plenty of theories before the episode aired. Some of them were really stupid (Iremember there was a youtube channel with them). I remember a theory saying it might be Clementine's parents and explaining that Clem didn't really see their corpses but they were only pretending and covered with blood (like Lee and Clem). There were also Lee theories. In fact, they are still out there.
I'm sorry, this is just too stupid.
I knew it was Kenny from the start, he had no confirmed dead body and it couldn't have been anyone else. That reminds me of someone who said Kenny couldn't possibly be it because he angled the shot to kill Ben to kill himself too XD
Why should he if he didn't agree with the man?
I didn't think he would. When he came back I didn't even know who he was. But when the dialogue tree popped up I was like "Oh it's Kenny, I thought he died in Savannah."
Lilly was a bitch in episode 3
I got spoiled by seeing a youtube thumbnail with an old guy with a big beard and an eyepatch after finishing season 1. :c
