Could Nate be season 3's Negan?

I noticed that Nates humor and personality kind of Mimicks Negans, and imagine if Nate crossed that threshold into being a bad guy? He could be pretty much become a second Negan in my mind and it would totally fit his character.

    I'm not a fan of merging two characters into one just because they have somewhat similar personalities. Nate is Nate, Negan is Negan, let's leave it like that.

    I could see Nate being a great antagonist or even a difficult ally to deal with in the group but not another Negan, Nate is his own character.

    Him as a villain would be pretty cliche. He's best as a morally grey character

    I agree I'd prefer him as an ally that's more in the grey area although he would be a great villian/antagonist.
