How will Telltale improve?
Even though I didn't like Season 2 I hope for Season 3 (2 out of 3 isn't bad) what advice would you like to give Telltale.
NO MORE CLEMENTINE at least not as a PC
Edit the writing team
Delay Minecraft (Don't cancel it but a 6 hour game is too short. Even though it makes them more money they should put more effort in)
Longer episodes
More impacting decisions
No more leaning of Season 1 this has to be it's own thing
Better cast and writing of characters
These are just some things they should improve on. Season 2 was what it was and I'd like to think they've heard the complaints (some more reasonable than others) and will improve. These are just some things I want to see

Minecraft is due this year, meaning it is coming before Walking Dead Season 3 (which is not coming this year). If anything, delaying Minecraft in theory would only "hurt" Walking Dead: Season 3 more if you are going off of the belief that Telltale having multiple teams working on different episodes hurts other episodes. That just seems like a thinly veiled complaint that Minecraft: Story Mode exists.
Also, Seasons weren't that short even with 90 minute episodes. 5 episodes with 1.5 hours of gameplay is around 7.5 hours for the overall Season. It's still kinda short, yeah, but not 6 hours short. However, Telltale is using longer episodes for Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones anyways so I think the episode length for Season 3 should be fine.
1 - Why not? Her story still hasn't ended.
2 - Writing team seems fine, they are good writers who can learn from their mistakes.
3 - Once again, why?
4 - Episodes are already longer for GoT and TFTBL, as they are two hours at least
5 - I don't know why everyone says this. Season 2 had more determinant characters, different beginnings for Episode 2 even, and even had multiple endings.
6 - That makes literally no sense. The Walking Dead: Season 2 was always 'it's own thing', and never 'leaned' on Season 1, in fact comparing the two, Season 1 is very different to Season 2.
7 - Honestly the characters were fine, interesting even, they just need to improve the writing of them. Not the cast.
I think it has we've had 2 seasons to play as her and her character dropped in Season 2
The writing team swerved in too many directions and failed to remain consistent in too many areas
Lol did you read any of what I said. More time to write
That was only the first episode of each
Determinant characters that were poorly used and then died.
Except all the call backs to Season 1. Like having Kenny come back and outshine everyone in the Season 2 cast
Unless you count inconsistent, undeveloped and loss potential
No, she still has a lot of development left to do and the multiple endings only make her fate more abstract than anything. Three seasons seems optimal, as it's a trilogy.
I know, but overall they're good writers. This is judging from their work on other titles such as 'The Wolf Among Us' and 'The Walking Dead: 400 Days', with the criticism they received, they can improve.
No, I just read what 'Blind Sniper' had to say, and they make complete sense. I don't see why delaying Minecraft would benefit The Walking Dead, in any way. Especially seeing as Telltale most likely have a contract, they need to stick to.
Nope. All episodes of GoT at least have been two hours, at the very least. TFTBL promotes the idea of exploration and so I can only imagine, it has more time associated with gameplay.
That wasn't your point. You said whether choices mattered. They did matter. Sure, they were somewhat contrived and dumb. But the decisions still matter. Also different character relationships, details (such as how you kill Carver) and multiple endings are still clear examples of choice differentiation that was more prevalent in this season, than in the last.
It's almost like the game is a sequel, and people were calling for Kenny to return anyway. Also he does not outshine the cast, if anything it's your opinion on the character against the others.
It's almost like I have an opinion. I said they were interesting, as in conceptually. If I worked at Telltale and read on a sheet about a new group involving a, moody and somewhat anxiety-ridden hot tempered yet motherly character, her somewhat submissive yet also caring husband, a young girl sheltered by an overbearing and overly protective father due to anxiety, etc. I would think these were the bases for interesting characters.
You haven't tried it yet? Anyway yeah there is definitely a lot more gameplay oriented moments in there than GOT (at least as of now) and each episode has been 2 hours or longer for me.
I think they've all been over 2 hours for me mostly because I like to look at everything (especially Rhys' scanner), unless I accidentally click on the item that progresses the story along (the beginning of episode 3 of GOT for me, I missed the hub with Malcolm and Beskha).
Yeah, even shorter episodes for the newer series end up being around an hour and 45-50 minutes for me.
My advice would be to test the game immensly to catch the bugs/glitches that any normal playthrough can come across. Can't stand it. Other than that just continue being awesome
I try to do the same thing by looking at as much as I can, and that happens to me a lot too. I guess I just have worse luck at accidentally clicking the thing that continues the story earlier than other people do.
I should have known that corpse would do something.
Same, both episodes of TFTBL and the first three of GOT have all been two hours for me, so it seems they're going back to having slightly longer episodes, or at least giving the writers more freedom to make the episodes as long as they need them to be.
The only real thing I can think of is to maybe having new characters stay longer and have more of an impact, long-term. I wouldn't criticise the Telltale writers though, I think they've done a pretty amazing job.
It depends on how you play it. TWD S2 has always rounded out an hour and thirty
I didn't say TWD S2, I said TFTBL and GOT have been 2 hours for me, which shows that Telltale has listened to what fans said about S2 and have decided to make longer episodes for their newer projects.
Its worth noting there are different writers
Writers from Season 2 and Wolf - both of which had 90 minute episodes - moved on to the newer games. Episode length has nothing to do with who wrote an episode.
Clem IS TWD, if she's gone, so are (most of) the fans.
