Yeah, there was a thread similar to this from months ago, though not the one asking what sexual orientation Clem would be.
I think romance in the zombie apocalypse is always a complicated thing. Having that sort of intimate personal comfort from another human being can be a godsend when you're surrounded by so much death and depression and destruction; it could give you hope to live again, kind of how Sarita seemed to for Kenny....However, then there's the chance that you lose that person--be it via death or just deciding not to be with each other anymore or you get separated due to the ZA like Glenn and Maggie did in the show--and the cycle of sadness can start all over again. So some might choose to not ever have a relationship in the ZA at all--can't cry over something you never lose, right? That's kind of Jane's mentality, or it was anyway.
Once Clem's a bit older and If Clem can find a safe place to stay and relax and learn to live a little again rather than having to worry about surviving or worry about walkers all the time, or having to worry about AJ 24/7, then sure, it could happen, and I wouldn't be against it. But right now I imagine, like people've said, that she's so shell-shocked from all the death around her that even if they were in a very safe place, I'm not sure a relationship would happen, at least not right now. That depends on her character.
If there was a romantic interest for Clem and it was written well, and if it wasn't all sappy and stupid like a lot of romances are written, it could be really cute though. What comes to mind for me is in the show, when Bob finally convinced Sasha to get with him, when she was afraid of being in a relationship for the reasons I said. Bob's optimism helped melt Sasha's heart and helped her open up a bit more, which was very sweet imo....When those two were together, it was very cute without me wanting to gag at how sappy they could've written it, and I enjoyed it. If someone could help Clem heal in a similar way, through simple unending support and just being there even if she didn't want said person to be, it would be quite nice, and I wouldn't mind seeing something like that. This kind of support could be provided from other, non-romantic individuals as well, but if it's solely from a romantically-interested individual, then it could still also work.
It would also probably be best for Clem to first have a non-romantic social support network to fall back on before she goes through this possible romantic situation, as having a bigger social net (a family) to help her is always helpful in these situations.
How come? I mean, they can always let romance out of the game, but if they decide to add it then they might as well let us choose her orientation. XD Probably not everyone would like Clem to be straight, for example. It would probably be messy, yeah, and hard to make, but I think it would be nice. But anyways if they do that, they should do it when Clem is in a Safe-Zone, where she could live "normally".
Once again, You have won over the Entire internet for a complicated comment that is awesome on a Thread just asking for an Opinion. WHY ARE YOU NOT A MODERATOR YET?! This argument is so perfect, I don't even know where to begin. XD

Exactly what I was thinking. Being gay is not a choice. Saying it is, is like saying some Chose to be a White Male born in Missouri. So saying Clem can chose her sexuality, as you said, would Not go over well.

Well, why not? XD That's what decisions are for. We play as Clem, we ARE her. We decide who to trust, or what to do, it would be realistic if we could also decide those kind of things.
Nah, as I say to all my friends who think the friggin' world of me, I'm just some Nerdy guy wasting time on a computer Typing what I feel. Sweetness has nothing to do with it, Thank though! ^_^

Well, perhaps I used the wrong word, but what I mean is that some people in their teens are confused of which orientation they are, so that could be in some way explored.
I think, from what you've said, that you might be a little confused. You cannot choose your sexual orientation. That is why the term "sexual orientation" is correct, while "sexual preference" is not correct, as "sexual preference" suggests that you can choose which sex (male, female, etc.) you "prefer" or which you are attracted to. No one chooses what sex etc. they are attracted to.
You can however pick and choose who you want to go out on a date with. E.g. if you are a straight male, then of course you can turn down a straight female who is interested in dating you if you don't find yourselves compatible (e.g. you don't like her personality). Similarly, if you are a gay male, then you can of course turn down a gay male who is interested in dating you if you don't find yourselves compatible. These are choices that you can make, and that the player as Clem could make. Having the player choose what orientation Clem is, is however, impossible, because no one chooses what sexual orientation Clem would be, not the player, and not even Clem lol. Technically it's what the writers decide. Having the player be able to choose which orientation Clem would be is unrealistic because it is impossible to do the same in real life.
...If it was a choice, gay people for example may not choose to be gay, if they had known they would face such adversity in this world, and be bullied or beaten or killed for their orientation. Who would choose something like that to happen?

Well, Mass Effect did it, I mean you could be a straight, gay or asexual Shepard. You can carve the character's personality so I don't see it so weird. And as I said, I don't think anyone knows their sexuality at all until puberty. I'm not saying it has to be a quick choice, like "Hey Clem, are you gay?" But something that could be explored by growing fond with some characters.

I get what you're saying, but the difference with Mass Effect is that you can completely shape your Shepard however you want, not just their sexuality.

You mean physically? The dialogues are similar to TWD, with different answers that could determine if you get along with some people or not, and showing different personalities to them. Clem for example can be cold with the cabin group, mocking Rebecca, or give them the puppy eyes and be inocent. Lee could try to be rational and honest with Vernon, or just threaten them, etc.

Well, physically the "default" Shepard was Mark Vanderloo, and he's straight but you could make him gay or asexual. But I think the physical appearance is not important to determine a sexuality. It's the personality and the inside what does.

Clem has been an NPC so her characterisation i set to a certain extent. Also, in ma effect you customise your shepherds background, their face, their race, their gender..theres none of that in the walking dead, so customising sexuality would be weird.

Should we be able to choose what her face looks like in season 3, because she's just a kid who's growing up? Or is what Telltale make her face a set part of her character?
I dunno, she was a kid when she was a NPC, we can't get a total personality out of that, she hadn't matured yet. And as I said, I don't think the physical appearance can determine a sexuality.
I think you're missing the point. Shepard's default face model is irrelevant because that's just what he is - a model, a template. You can use him or you can make your own. Either way, Shepard's character starts from scratch. YOU choose what kind of childhood they had, what they went through, what color their skin is. With Clementine, you can only alter her dialogue and make certain changes to her personality. That's why it feels weird to some to just decide that she's straight, gay, ect.

That's because Shepard is largely designed the way you see fit. Clementine isn't. You can change some things about her personality, but not everything.

I met this other person on another social media who said he had a crush on Clementine and did stuff that I will avoid speaking of but was convinced it was perfectly normal because he was 14 and she is 11, so it's "only a three year difference."

er, because it implies that people choose their orientation :P
I can deal with that, just don't push it on me. Better yet, make an option or something to opt out of romance altogether.
Because you are Born that way. You can't decide to be Gay all of the sudden, you're just born like that.
Nah, as I say to all my friends who think the friggin' world of me, I'm just some Nerdy guy wasting time on a computer Typing what I feel. Sweetness has nothing to do with it, Thank though! ^_^

It was never clear what sexuality she is. She's still just a kid. She's probably straight by that Luke comment, but who knows.
That's like saying you should be able to decide Clementine's race.
Nah, her sexuality is a set part of who she is in life so yeah.
But people usually realize that stuff at their teens, I mean sure when you're a kid you usually "play" romances, but that usually comes at puberty.
And Thanks! Glad to be back!
Realizing and Choosing are separate things.

Eeee cookie cat! =^.^= yummm

Yeah, But Mass Effect is unrealistic and Highly offensive anyway. Bioware doesn't know what the fuck they're doing with Sexualities and Orientations.
He fled home and Parents died! Cookie Cat! XD

Yes, you can choose all of that, yet he/she can decide who he/she has a relationship with no matter what backstory he/she has.
That doesn't make sense. That's irrelevant to a sexuality.
I still think it would be nice, but I'd be okay if she has a predetermined orientation. Just my two cents.
How?
Because TWD doesn't have a good history of romances...
I met this other person on another social media who said he had a crush on Clementine and did stuff that I will avoid speaking of but was convinced it was perfectly normal because he was 14 and she is 11, so it's "only a three year difference."
