I understand why people are disappointed that theyre not doing the project they want, I want Wolf season 2 as much as anyone, but this project is not stopping them from doing that somewhere down the line or anything else. They have a right to do whatever projects interest them. And Im not saying you, but i cant understand why people like the OP blast them for trying to make money. Of course they want to make money. One, its a business, and two, you're not a horrible person because you want to be paid for your work. Very few prople would work if they werent getting adequately compensated and the more money means the more they can expand. Thats just such a silly attitude to me.
I'm alright, i guess my biggest beef with this, is why waste your time with this: When it has nothing to do with the original story other th… morean fan filler, when they could of announced TWAU: S2.
That is why i am annoyed. , because i don't want to play another DLC that has nothing to do with the original story, and will mean absolutely nothing in the end, ie the last DLC.
Not to mention they did the same with the Wolf Among us. A game about characters they did not invent and that game had a good story. Good enough that the creator considered it cannon enough to turn it into a prequel comic rather than a prequel game.
Half-assed? Absolute nonsense. You assume that because they are taking on an already established character and adding their own unique story… more to her that they will not put as much effort in? Great logic. Based on the work they are doing with Thrones and Borderlands, they are far from going to the dogs. Hell, TFTB is looking like becoming a Telltale classic the amount of effort they are putting into it! Don't worry, I think you are going to be eating those ill-informed words.
Also, it's a DLC for crying out loud! An additional bit of content that is a THREE episode mini-series. Whatever was going to be the focus, I am thrilled with that level of content in a DLC.
I wanted a Lilly mini series instead, elaborating what HAPPENS TO HER after the RV incident and reminiscing about the old times and her transition into whatever was going to be in S3. Instead we get Michonne..I feel like the joy of suspense turned into being mad doubled. Just voicing out my opinion =_=
This is not all about money, if it was all about money Telltale would just put Dixon in the game not Michonne, it's about story. We don't even know if the story is good. Yet we still have people crying because it's not what they wanted.

And i have a right to voice my opinion as a consumer how disappointed i am with their business decisions, again. Minecraft, this, what is next. This game has nothing to do with the cannon story, so to me IMO its pointless. I rather play Alien Colonial Marines than play the new TWDG Michonne game.
Fans have been asking for TWAU for how long, if they don't announce it at this years E3, TTG is lost , Anakin.

Did the OP think the Wolf Among us was a cash cow too? Just wondering. Cause I think that if he didn't like this mini series he must've hated the Wolf Among Us too.
Yeauah well... preferably I'd never choose new Wolf Among Us content over new Walking Dead content so I'm a tad relieved here. Yet at the same time I'd choose new Wolf Among US over Borderlands and Game of Thrones game (not TV show) currently. and Opinionatedly Wolf just isn't a match for Dead in my book of entertainment.
Yeauah well.. Wolf Among Us was cool and all, but I doubt they'd be making that game again anytime soon as it has been just about a full year now without even the tiniest ounce of news. Personally I at times feel perhaps its for the best this way.. many others would have sour feelings about it. But Look how The Walking Dead game series fell off the wagon a bit from season 1 to season 2. If they did a great job on season 1 of Wolf Among Us and everyone praised them for that as they praised them for season 1 of Walking Dead, then they go on to Wolf Season 2 and its a total flop then everyone will piss their britches in rage.. yet they were the very ones that asked and begged for the hasty sequel. As mysterious as the Wolf saga was from beginning to end it seemed to drop off at a perfectly fitting end which was mysterious and sort of left open for interpretation.
Then again I'm probably one of the few individuals that can live without more Wolf content anyhow, I found that game to be quite weird at times, in particularly far out odd situations. But as you might put it, this is opinionatedly of course. So just my two cents..

Yeauah, To you the game probably was...and maybe I could agree slightly as I understand and can admit the flaws of S2 but I'm leaning more toward the two being on par with each other.. as TWAU had its moments too. Now to me TWAU Wasn't better than TWDS1 no matter how you slice it plot-wise..

What I don't get is why people seem to think developers have to make what they want. Like the creators have no say in the matter and exist only to satisfy what the 'fans' want. The irony is that, as a creative person, all this commotion would make me not want to please the 'fans', because creative people have the right to do what they want.
I'm not saying people don't have the right to voice their view either, but think on that for a moment. The film Misery springs to mind as well. Not in the psycho sense (though people make me wonder at times), but in the sense that a writer was forced to do something they didn't want to.
At the end of the day, people have the right to vote with their wallet too.
PS: To illustrate what I said in the first paragraph as well, think back to Job's initial reaction to the mess when Minecraft was announced. Granted, they are a business and it's more important for them to make money than it is for me (in the sense they have stock holders to satisfy etc.), but just try to look at it from the creator's perspective when they announce something, it gets crapped on, and they get told they should keep on doing what they have been for a while, which might quite possibly be something they don't want to work on. I mean, outside of demanding an artist works on something that 'fans want', would it really be a product that's enjoyed if it was made under duress? Anyhow, rambling and ranting here. I'll end it here.
I'm pretty underwhelmed and would definitely have preferred something unique to the game like a new character or something with Christa or Lily. I'm not really that excited, but I'm not outraged at this either. I'll probably still buy it anyway, which is all TTG probably cares about at the end of the day. At least it's something to tide me over for the S3 wait.
Even though I disagree with Telltale's decision to make a Michonne miniseries the company isn't dead to me. If Michonne was the main character for season 3 then yes...
Well, you can consider this the harbinger of doom for the series if you want to, but i wont. Im not giving up until they say for sure its over. In the meantime, ill enjoy getting more content.

i just don't like to play as a character that already has a personality, hard past & etc.
Lee was a great protagonist, he had a tough history, which a player question himself/herself "Would have I done tha same thing?".When I played as Clem it feelt so... out of place, that's because we get to know her in Season 1, all of her likes, dislikes...
Now seeing a DLC where you play as... Michonne...a character from the comic ... who... apparently left(?)... and TTG focusing on that gap in the comics...instead of focusing on their own OC game characters, for some reason...I don't really know what else to type...
I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but did it cross your mind that maybe you are being a bit too dramatic about this?
I sincerely dou… morebt that this one little mini-series has irrevocably ruined the franchise. You can call it a cash-in, but don't act like this is some permanent irreversible mark that has completely decimated any credibility or reputation Telltale has. Because that is... well, simply not true.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't a tiny bit disappointed. I'm still excited and all, it's just that telltale had so many possibilities and for some reason they decided to go this route. I'm still excited and hope to see michonne meet up with Christa or even lily.

See you around S3 folks!

Goustttt i know u will most likely disagree but i liked walking dead survival instinct and still do heheh

TWAU was way better than TWDS2. The characters were consistent, at least, rather than changing personalities as the script demanded.

With Nicole Martinez writing this Michonne series is sure to be better the walking dead season 2 writing

Wow. Nobody's ever satisfied are they?
If a company so much as coughs too loudly, some amount of people will find a reason to lose their shit over it and act like they're the devil

Disappointed no....surprised ..yes.
At this point I'm happy with anything walking dead related . No point on being moody about it.
Nope...
