The genie lamp
Just had a thought about the genie lamp.
In Aladdin he had to rub the lamp 3 times for the genie to be released right?
Well in TWAU when you interact with the genie lamp in cranes office in each episode, bigby only rubs a single time. So if you rubbed it once in episode 1 and another time in episode 2, then does it seem plausible that a genie may be released from it if you (given the chance) rub for a third time in episode 3?

Didn't Crane picked up the lamp and smashed the mirror with it?
LOL don't bet on it. TWAU is an on-rails game where decisions matter not.
This is just too...Disney...No,i don't think so.
At first I didn't pay much attention to the lamp but since you could interact with it in both episodes, I'm starting to think that maybe in the future it'll have some significance? Why have an item you can interact with if it's meaningless? (over multiple episodes)
The Genie was freed. It's even stated by Bibgy in Ep.1 if i remember corectly.
bibgy lmfao
Yes, I can recall that. But still - if it's a worthless item then why give it our attention?
It's a point-and-click game. Point-and-clicks are full of pointless things in the environment.
...he obviously was upset that the genie didn't come out to grant his wish to forget the troll.
Maybe once you rub it a third time the all mighty juice box will come out and depending on if you have a walking dead save on that system it will connect the two games and you will now have the choice to switch between Clementine or Bigby whenever you want, Bigby solving the crime in the zombie apocalypse while Clementine is fighting off the zombies as multiple fairy tale characters join and fight the group along the way.
Also Lee and Bluebeard shall commentate.
I think it's just a dev joke or gimmick, nothing really significant
What's with the 3 downvotes? you guys do know i wasn't being serious right...that comment was a joke.
Hahaha I thought that was hilarious! "You have a sense of humor, that's good"
Genies are awesome, I'd love to see one make an appearance.
Being some people have serious issues with juice boxes
*Because
I just assumed Bluebeard was the genie
I'm actually wondering how that lamp came into the possesion of Fabletown.
Last I checked it took till volume 7 of Fables (so post 2005) before Fabletown and Fabletown East (aka Arabian Fables) were at least on friendly enough terms.
Did Snow white steal it/got it from during her time with negotations with the Sultan and the 1001 Nights of Snowfall thing?
Fabletown could've gotten it from someone else
Maybe Jack Horner stole it? :P
I think it is most likely that the Sultan from 1001 Night of Snowfall gave it to Snow White as a gift. Since the lamp is empty, it kinda leaves the horrible implication that the Genie must have cause havoc once it was released.
Totenkinder said that there's always another genie on standby in other realms should things get dicey.
Also depends on the Genie. Yeah sure most are pretty evil bastards but hey if al's genie was like the same from the Disney movie...maybe it wasnt needed?
Or hell maybe the East Wind stepped up, who knows?
Omfg also a 007 nightfire fan? Loved that game for the Gamecube....
Since this thread has already been brought to the front page, I thought I'd say I think you can rub the lamp three times in a row, and Bigby says something like "it was worth a try".
...Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. :P
He does
