It would suck. It would be like having the amc walking dead without Rick. Clem is just the image you get when you think of Telltale's Walkin… moreg Dead. It would be a poor business decision not to have her in season 3,but I think people will still buy just because of the story.
Maybe having a season off from Clem would get the Clem haters to appreciate her character if the season without her sucks.
Clem was so lame in Season 2...
Ikr. I think Lee should have never died. He was a better protagonist and I still can't forgive Clem for trusting a dumbass who "found" her parents.
Yeah, it was extremely out of character for Jane to side with Arvo about going to his place...when that happened I knew the game was just trying to pit everyone against Kenny to make him look like the bad guy, but it was just bad writing
I never gave Arvo sympathy, I find it funny that a bunch of dumbasses except Kenny defend Arvo after he and his group tried to kill them. Ev… moreen Jane, she distrusted Arvo first time but later she did trust him. That's why I stayed with Kenny, he is smarter.

Clem's story is the essence of Telltale's TWD. Considering that everything they've made after Season 1 has been subpar combined with the fac… moret that TWD's universe is very underdeveloped and boring, I doubt I'll have any interest interest in buying a Clem-less Season 3. Hell, I'll even have my doubts before buying a Season 3 with Clem because of how bad they butchered Season 2.
Your right dude, even the developers of the season 1 video game stated in a behind the scenes interview for the making of the game said that the whole game revolved around Clementine and keeping her protected, teaching her, and basically guiding her through the new more terrible world (Not saying the Earth wasn't bad before the outbreak, just saying it's worse).
It is always risky killing off the main character like they did with Lee, but it really worked out well considering the whole grand scheme of things. Otherwise they could have just kept Lee for all 3 seasons like a black Rick going through the trials and tribulations of the apocalypse. Then I sort of doubt folks would be calling for a new protagonist as much because you get to play as an adult and I believe what all these anti-Clem protag folks really mean is they want to play as a big strong country lumber-jack cave man that can "knock a couple heads together if he has to" as Kenny stated, or like some tough buff white chili bowl headed navy seal veteran or just some other cliché muscle head than Clementine.
They felt virtually powerless as the little meek Clementine and they didn't appreciate that. They wanted to be able to do things and not only do things but things, but what that makes natural sense for the character in question to do. Like it is more believable that Jane would ask a person like Lee to kick down a door like Bigby wolf.. to safely escape a growing crowd of walkers as example but not Clementine. Thus Clem can appear quite boring to some players. But I agree that it is ridiculous and sort of even dumb to keep leap frogging from protagonist to the next. Once was enough and made good sense. To switch up again would kind of be for no reason to me and hopefully the developers see it that way too because in the end it only matters what they think for the story. We are only the commenting peanut gallery.lol

I kinda want Season 3 to involve different characters, including a new main character and not to know what happened to Clem at all, it's the best way to show like our endings in Season 2 really mattered, not leading them to the same common scenario and sentencing Kenny and Jane to a certain death.
That's a really harsh way of putting it, but you guys have a point. The fact that she trusted a stranger in regards to where her parents were more than she did Lee is, well, not good.
But remember, kidnappers ease the minds of their victims by claiming to know the child's parents; so it's not that she didn't respect Lee, it's that she was interested in finding her parents more, and she knew that they weren't really going to look for her parents....the stranger offered her what she wanted most

But the Wolf Among Us and Tales From The Borderlands are fre… moreaking awesome, with Tales being one of my favorite games. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean the majority considers them subpar or terrible.
Clem as a playable character didn't work not because of the fact that she's a child but because of the fact that Telltale hires forum moderators with no experience as their game writers.

In many ways, I need Clementine in the game otherwise it's pointless. The Walking Dead is her story. Not Kennys, Janes and certainly not this Michonne stuff although it's fine for a spin off.
What gets me, is that apart from this forum everywhere I look on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and many, many others Clementine is revered. Only on one or two occasions do I see anyone wanting any other protagonist.
For example, you look at Melissa Hutchison's Twitter and all you see are people asking when Season Three is coming out and are clambering for more Clementine. They even ask her in videos to do the voice, just so they can hear her. I'm not just talking about youngsters either. I'm talking all ages, and walks of life.
Yes it maybe a bit ahem......obsessional, but that's how much fans love Clementine, she has touched millions of people out there. This is just my personal opinion, but I feel if telltale do the unthinkable and not have Clementine in Season Three, I wouldn't like to think of the consequences.
Problem is, telltale has brought this character to life and done such a good job, god help them if they decide to dump her now.
I don't think the issue is a wish to play as a muscle head character. Personally I enjoyed playing as 400 Days gang and most of them weren't particularly macho. Besides also the child characters can be tough, like Carl from the comics. However Clem is still too nice and trusting, like when when she instantly became a loyal member of the Cabin crew after the way they had treated her. I was also disappointed that you couldn't turn her into a "female Carl". For example it would have been cool if you could have killed Carver instead of just watching it. (Game is supposed to be about choices and if you want to make her a little psycho then it should have been possible). However there's even bigger problem with her character and that's a cliché which I particularly hate. That cliché is that child hero is smarter and better in everything than the adults. It makes the Cabin crew appear as a group incompetent idiots and half of the time they forget that Clem is just a little girl.
However while I think that children can be tough, I think that the adult protagonists are better. The world of The Walking Dead is a brutal place and it's easier to explore many violent and sexual themes (or combination of those two) when the protagonist is an adult. I think that as a character Michonne is better suited for exploring that kind of stuff than Clem. With Clem you can't go to same extremes as the characters from the comics go occasionally.
If Clem is a playable character in any of the future installments, I hope that she isn't the only playable character. TTG has recently had plenty of games with multiple protagonists and this could work also with Season 3 (it worked fine with 400 Days, although it was too short and I would have liked to play as them in Season 2).

This. She believed the words of a complete stranger, and most parents flat-out tell their kids not to do that. Clementine had also proved that she was pretty smart for her age, so it's more than a little irritating that she dropped everything because some guy over her walkie talkie sounded more sincere than Lee.
I'm not trying to say she's to blame completely, it's just that a lot of people are quick to give Clementine a free pass on this simply because she's a kid.
She was needed everywhere even if it didn't make sense just because she was the protagonist. (Clem go sneak into this armed compound, why not kill a few guys who cares) The plot finds a way to make an 11 year old Girl relevant.
There is hardly any scenes where Clem is treated as what she is, a weak little girl and is mostly treated as a 25 year old muscle man. Taking bridges, shooting guns and killin' bad guys.
She just isn't Clementine anymore, she has no direction and no aim. While S1 had an arc of Lee protecting Clementine and the player could change variables based on that goal. In S2 it's just Clementine knocking about place to place and thus making a established character void of any actual character.
She is way too overpowered for a girl who has not yet even gone through puberty, overpowering a grown man who could easily just pick her up and carry her. Jumping off walls to stop the big evil bad guy. Overpowering walker after walker with little to no trouble.
She has little to no impact on the plot, while Lee could be counted as the leader of the group, persuading Kenny or Lilly on certain events, Clementine basically is just along for the ride, she never once directly impacts the plot. Stuff would still happen the exact same way if Clementine wasn't present. The cabin group would still be brought back to Carver's camp, Kenny would still be a jackass and so would Jane.
If Clem respect Lee,she would have listened to him when he said not to run off alone, but she know Lee when do anything for her, so she left to met the stranger knowing Lee would come after her.

She obviously had respect for Lee, I don't know where you got that idea. And seriously, kids do stupid stuff all the time. She deeply loved her parents so of course she wanted to find them. When an emotional person like Clem wants to find someone they love, they're gonna do everything they can to find them. Besides ever since Lee's death she's been having guilt for what she done, she felt responsible and acknowledges her mistake. So again, she does respect him.

Like the only real reason we played as Clem was because Lee died protecting Clem and then we got to see how his influence molded her afterwards. No i think of season 1 lee being badass. That's why i first got the game.
Yea Clem seems smart, why trust this random man after you found lee who is putting his life on the line to save you.
That's the main reason Lee had died. If Clem never talked to the stranger, he would still be alive.
Yeah, it was extremely out of character for Jane to side with Arvo about going to his place...when that happened I knew the game was just trying to pit everyone against Kenny to make him look like the bad guy, but it was just bad writing
Ikr. I wish Kenny and Jane never appeared in S2.
I liked seeing Kenny, but I think he should've been killed by Carver in episode 3
No, that would have been such a stupid decision, bring him back episode 2 just to die in the next episode? NO
lol k
Why?
Because she didn't work in the slightest?
Work like didn't work out as protagonist or didn't do physical work?

The walking dead season 2 was Clem story, and that story sucked.
True, Lee didn't have to die, Clem put Lee's life on the line because she didn't respect him.

Just because you like them doesn't mean they're good.

Don't mind the clem crowd as much as the Kenny apologists.
