    Can't wait long.... Need now!

  • I get what Telltale Games's goal is. Telltale Games's motive is to create dramatic stories with amazing characters that are in unique worlds with exciting opportunities to explore. To tell television stories based off of other franchises if they get the license to do it. Their story tellers. I'm speaking as a big Walking Dead videogame fan, and I don't want Season 3 to be a disappointment like Season 2 was. I want Season 3 to be just as good as Season 1, and if possible better. My recommendation for Telltale Games is to make Season 3 exceedingly poignant. In addition, increase the episode lengths to two hours, build more explorable interactions with the environments, and make more hubs. The struggles of survival have to be legitimate and dangerous, like dealing with cannibals in episode 2(Starved For Help), or the bandits in episode 3(Long Road Ahead), or the psychotic stranger that kidnapped Clementine in episode 5(No Time Left). Furthermore, keep the tone very heartfelt, depressing, and overwhelmingly emotional; like when Katjaa commited suicide before Duck died, because of the fact that a mother can't cope with the reality that her son will die. Also, produce more great characters like Lee and Clementine. Additionally, invent impressive cliffhangers like the one in episode 4(Around Every Corner). All in all, do your best to make more unforgettable scenes like Lee's death.

  • Sometimes they even switch franchises altogether (You'll work on episode 2 of Got, then next you'll work on Ep3 tftb). I'm a strong believer in one team, one season. But that's just me. I think the walking dead season 1 was a one team sort of project. I don't believe any other games were releasing simultaneously. I would LOVE to see a full season released at once from Telltale. Like if they had a division of telltale working on one game for a period of say 1-2- maybe 3 years. I like the way they release games but I wouldn't mind seeing them try out a normal game. (without all the feedback from the community and seeing what we like and don't like). It'd be interesting.

They explained it before it think it's: One team works on the current episode while another group starts work on the next. I don't know. Something like that?

  • If they do that again I will officially quit playing the game.

I'm calling it. You find a group in S3 and they get picked off one by one again. The people you chose to be with in the end of S2 will probably be dead early on in the game, so you end up alone anyway.

These updates are updating the files of dlc menu, they appear around ep3 harm's way was released.

Oh, no that's not what I meant. This is an example of what I'm talking about: Although this update might of been a while back so yeah. But yeah, thanks!

  • It's hard to balance out. Clementine is a kid, and nobody would really consider her as the big decision maker, and a group leader, at the same time they need to make the choices matter. That's the reason why S2 was disappointing for me.

I get what Telltale Games's goal is. Telltale Games's motive is to create dramatic stories with amazing characters that are in unique worlds

  • Season Two always was and will be super-amazing for me.

    It's YOUR opinion.

    It's MY opinion.

    That all :Р

Don't be dramatic XD Telltale said they were still figuring out the protagonist right? Without knowing who the protagonist is it's difficult to shape a solid story around that, so they're probably still in the planning stages with what they're doing, clear by how they said Season 3 isn't coming out this year. And Melissa's only a voice actor, she's not a Telltale employee. Unless they secretly tell her and she's keeping hush about it, they're not going to let her in on details until nearer the time they need her for recording lines.

I think voice actors are supposed to keep quiet about that stuff anyways, because they could lose their jobs spoiling things on the net, like 'oh hey my character is going to be in this unannounced sequel' that kind of thing.

Ok, I enjoyed Season 2 very much, yet I understand some of the complaining. This idea had popped in my head: what if Sam the dog hadn't died? From what I have seen just on the TellTale forum side, people enjoyed the dynamic and relationship between Lee and Clem in Season 1. So I began to wonder what Season 2 would have been like if a similar dynamic was used for Clem and Sam. Sam follows Clem around and based on how you treat Sam and how you treat others (because Sam will be watching), Sam will act differently towards the end of the season.

    • If you play a really aggressive ("badass") Clem, Sam will also be aggressive but will bark frequently thus attracting walkers more. If you play a passive Clem, Sam will stay silent more but will not be aggressive when trouble in present.
    • During hubs, you will have an option to spend time with Sam. If you spend time with him frequently, he will be very obedient and protective of Clem. Less personal time with Sam results in him being disobedient and lagging behind more often.
    • Who you trust will also factor in if Sam follows you everywhere or will stay put when commanded.

Adding Sam the dog would have also made choosing options for task more involved. For example (using something from Season 2), choosing to go find Kenny or stay with Alvin and Rebecca in the cabin would have prompted some longer thought because you have to consider the dog (whether he'll stay, follow, make noise or not, etc.). Do you guys think that idea would have worked for a choice based game or not?

Also mods, let me know if this is ok to put here. I didn't think this was worthy to be its own tread, but let me know otherwise and I move it.

  • edited July 2015

That actually would have been awesome IMO. Thing is, Sam's death was used to get Clem "into" the cabin group with the bite and all that, so I'm not sure that would work.

Thanks. And yeah, I figured that. Without the bite, Clem would have journeyed on quicker and more alert. As a result, she probably would have just missed Pete and Luke thus never meeting the cabin group. She probably would have never met Kenny. None of Season 2 would have happened if Clem hadn't gotten bit. Lame...

But... imagine if Clem hadn't been bit. Regardless of Sam, she would have journeyed into the woods. Would she still have met Carver? How would Carver treated her compared to the cabin group; a young girl alone and lost, looking for her companion? Would Clem still have ended up at Howe's? What would have Carver done if he had reached the cabin? Would Pete and Nick have to returned from fishing only to find Alvin and possibly Luke dead with everyone else missing? How would Clem have been treated by everyone at Howe's if Carver welcomed her in, regardless if his intentions were or weren't to raise her as a future leader under his ideology? Man, this makes for a great alternate universe.

EDIT: Also, I meant "lame" as in Clem would have (possibly) been spared a lot if Sam hadn't of bit her. One bite caused her to endure 3+ weeks of hell...

    Um.. nope.

Do you think people love Season One more than Season Two?

    I don't think so.

Just in this section of the forum just like to say bad things (?) about the season 2, and constantly comparing it with the Season One, although it should not be similar, than to thank the developers.

On other sites, Facebook and Twitter, I saw a lot of positive comments.
Also, some people are starting to believe that if the game has Kenny and Jane, what they do not like, the season begins to be bad. I do not agree with them, and if they do not like some of the characters, it does not mean that the game is bad.

That's actually not a bad idea. I played a game called Haunting Ground that had something similar with a dog in it that helped you fend off stalkers or solve puzzles. If you praised Hewie and fed him treats he'd listen to commands better, however if you were cruel to him, he'd attack you, and you could actually end up getting a bad ending from it.

Season 2 with a dog at your side, that would've been so awesome _

I dont hate s2, and no i dont like to compare the two as that would be unfair. But I do realize that s2 missed out on a lot of opportunities (400 DAYS)

  • TTG is growing as a company and they hire people a lot so that explains why they're working on multiple projects.

But IMO, i think it'd be better if the whole team put effort into one single game. No other games or anything else going on. Just that one game.

But i guess it's kinda cool to play an episode of one series, then play another episode of a different series.

  • Too much like Fable 2 and Fable 3. Also COD Ghosts.

The dog thing would've been cool at first, but then start to get annoying and repetitive (like the QTEs).

  • Lol I wouldn't play that game.. The dog is already aggressive because its been alone in the apocalypse for some time now. Idk that idea just doesn't seem good for a telltale game.......In fallout 4 including a dog is pretty cool but thats a third person RPG that doens't take itself as seriously as something the walking dead.
