i think it is ridiculous that they cant say fuck on the tv show, so they have to say things like "they shouldn't have messed with us" or "mother dick" people swear in real life and it doesn't matter one bit
Im hoping they will let them drop at least one FBomb per half season like they did on Breaking Bad. I feel like its totally appropriate. BB did a Good job of placing theirs where they would have the most impact. WD could do that too. They say almost every other swear anyway, lol

i didn't even notice they could only say it once or twice in BB, however in the walking dead the lack of it sometimes just jumps out at you, maybe it is the circumstances and/or the characters that makes it seem appropriate more often, but it is some weird rules that make fuck bad to say but cannibalism and people/zombies being ripped apart fine to do

I actually feel that the swearing is one thing that I can personally overlook and I genuinely hear more of it in everyday life than I do in the games. I'm more bothered by the violence. I keep playing the games because the debates between the choices you make and the intellectual parts of making said choices are something that other games don't commonly allow you to do, but I'm not a fan of violence. There's quite a bit of it in their games, and I've gotten used to seeing it in their games now. There's still times where I look away (such as letting Kenny beat that one guy's head in during Season 2). It's not that I can't handle it, I just don't understand the appeal that some do. There are moments in the games where depending on the situation, it's entirely necessary (and all of Walking Dead is a survival game, so it's expected), but sometimes I wish there were more recent games that would dial it down a bit.
Why the fucking hell are people fucking complaining about the fucking language used in the fucking Walking fucking dead? People fucking swear all the fucking time. If I have just seen my friend bit by a zombie and almost got bit myself, I am not going to go. Oh fiddlesticks, that's inconvenient. I am going to go. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK!
And why has this thread been resurrected? Really. Is someone actively hunting through the forum for old abandoned threads? Are we going to see ones from 2012 next?

Depends on the game, I would like to see a situation where one character should have a potty mouth, and another character actually says something about it. That would be thinking out of the box. Not every person thinks swearing is appropriate, so that could cause initial conflict right there. I don't think TWDG had a lot of unnecessary swears, but TLOU definitely.
I do agree with the OP though too much swearing is dumb.
Its not poor writing if they are following the source material, which they are in this case. The world of TWD is extremely grim, gritty, sex… moreual and violent (as far as the comics go), and swearing is a part of that. I dont swear much as a rule myself but I don't mind it if fits the environment. Also, I would think a game full of bleeps would be annoying to play.
You are exactly right. But telltale games is in the business of making money. Allowing players to choose a female or male character is part of choice. Allowing a bleep-less edition option is also choice. If you do not offer it, you reduce your market.
Games are about customization. You customize or choose your icon, your account name etc. Its all about choice. Some folks dont like the color red, and choose the wardrobe of their character. Many many people do not like the profanity. Its an easy option to opt out of. If you like profanity, no problem. It you want a bleep less option, no problem. Its just ironic that tell tale games offer all these decision trees for your character, but do not offer an obvious one, which is no profanity.

I guess we know what options you probably chose in the walking dead. Lol.

Its really annoying when people complain about hearing ''Fuck'' or ''Shit'' on a show. Especially when its about a show with blood and gore.
it's not too much k

I thought mother dick was perfect. I started saying it after that episode.
Damn, thats some really fucking interesting shit.
The fuck is this bitch-ass bullshit?

Better than S2 writing ZING.
Are you a kid? Games where characters swear are for teenagers 14-18 and adults.
yeah it was funny but you just know he would have said mother fucker if he could
Most adults grow out of swearing, i find it childish.
Then dont choose that option. I think playing with a female main character would be annoying to play, so game companies give us options. Get a clue.

nice job ressurecting threads
It's getting to the point where I comment on a thread only to realize later it was a resurrected one. Why is resurrection even a thing?
MAGIC
flies away
It would be un realistic to NOT have lots of swearing during a super dangers situation like loads of zombies coming for you ect.
That's Negan right? If it is, that is perfectly fine. It's in his character.
Please don't necrobump old threads, the last post that initially necrobumped it was 1 week ago so there was no need to bump it again.
