Gared Tutle - why so important
I dont know if someone has already talked about this before, but I have a theory.
Gared had a lot of influence over Lord Forrester. It is unusual for a peasant boy to be so relevant in a story like this and I think nothing is what it seems. At least, I think he needed to be from a noble house to be Gregor's squire. We still have a lot to know about his past and I think maybe he is Gregor's bastard.

Yeh.
I'm pretty sure his past is exactly what they say it is. He was a pig farmer that had an uncle who managed to become castellan, his uncle used said position to raise Gared up from pig-farmer to squire. With the Forresters being a small third-tier house (House Forrester < House Glover < House Stark) I'd imagine they have pretty close personal relationships with their smallfolk. Gared rising through their ranks doesn't seem too unlikely, even if his uncle wasn't castellan. He probably still could have become squire, although (maybe) not to Lord Forrester.

I don't know. I mean, they said how many people didn't like the idea of him being a squire. I doubt they'd be that upset if he were ACTUALLY from a noble House. People would probably catch on to that. He doesn't look like Lord Forrester. And, yeah, he may hold features from the woman, but he'd have at least SOME features from his father.
Besides, I think it's interesting to not play JUST Forresters.
