Tears................ I'm still in denial. I got over Lee, I'm getting over Luke, I got over everyone else, but for some reason I can't let to of Carley...........
I have to vent some stuff guys.
I just have to do a PEA paragraph on Luke because I've done too many English assessments. Here's the ques… moretion:
How is Luke shown to be an interesting character through the theme of anger?
Luke is a particular good character although there are times that he can get angry beyond his control. The is evident when he says, "...but y'know what? Jane, she made an offer and... Jesus Christ, I needed it, okay? I mean, look around you, okay? Everything is SHIT. So forgive for wantin' to enjoy ONE MOMENT of somethin' else!" This suggests or rather shows how Luke has a temper making him a more interesting character compared to the nice guy he is always perceived to be. The word 'SHIT' is in capital letters showing its emphasis and that it has been shouted showing Luke's anger towards the situation. The phrase 'ONE MOMENT' is also in capital letters, making it clear that he has shouted the word but it suggests that… [view original content]
Yeah, it would have been nice. I think after time he would be pushed over the edge and become more aggressive and hardened, letting even less emotion in and snapping at anyone who questions him. Although he made progress in episode 5 when he opened up. So I would imagine further down the line he would open up to close friends and stay emotionless and angry in front of other people to appear strong and tough.

I thought Luke was awesome as a person in the game but from a character stand point he wasn't very complex like Kenny for example. As a result people didnt connect with him as much. Which is a shame because I liked him and they wasted him by killing him off so abruptly.
If I had to pick Clem to have a parental guardian from Season Two it'd be Luke.
that's because the second season cast apart from Kenny and clementine didn't get any writting to build the new characters. look the writing for the first series was really good, and you got clear idea of who these characters and when their morals were tasted what they would or if they snapped.
the cabin group didn't get that. One of the easier ways they could have fixed was show the new characters interreact to Kenny and clem, instead asking clementine to do everything (I know its the player that gets to do everything) but still it would show characters and their actions, and in world full of zombies actions speak louder then words. the cabin goup was wasted protaintion because Clem had do everything in game play and Kenny got a lot dialog but ends about napping and shouting at everyone around him (yeah u proubly can tell I hate Kenny, in series 1 and 2)
I admit I really like Luke he was my fav character of the season but the reason was the sibling raviely between Clem and him. like Lee was a father figure to Clem, Luke was a brother figure to Clem. whitch leads to great dialog, and cute and funny interactions between them.

teconally you ethier be a hero and risk your life for him or start shooting at the walkers (whitch is still helping and he asked you to do that in the first place) then Bonnie rash in and...seriously his death was forced
it was a really stupied way to die as well

Not to mention it's a lake, there was no reason to cross it. It's so badly written like several other points in the episode like the shootout and the baby hiding deal, it makes me mad still thinking about it and how the season had to wrap up that way. TWDG had these problems in Season 1, but usually they were things you could look over or ignore because the story was still entertaining and they weren't so bad that they ruined the plot.
Kenny not leaving the alley in the Season 1 finale for example. If he'd died like he'd been originally intended to, that would've been one badly written death. I mean no question it's silly he stays behind when he had no reason to [Ben was clearly not going to make it], but the saving grace is back then I knew in my gut Kenny hadn't perished, and it was done as a reason for Kenny not to be there when Lee got the Marsh House.
Lake though? Bad, really bad. The Jill sandwich scene is better written and actually more plausible than the entire lake sequence, and I'm not joking! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtTfptkUgj0
And it is a lake btw, Clementine calls it that in one of the dialogue options. So, you know >.> if anybody tries to say to you it's a river, don't believe him. The guy probably has a river fetish and doesn't like me, just FYI....nu, nu I'm not referring to anybody [whistles innocently]

But how can he save the kid when he's impaled and got broken limbs all by himself? Jumping into help Christa made sense even without her being pregnant. And Clem's still in trouble, Kenny hello? ;.; your mustache is needed elsewhere to save some other kid's life.

It already died, on the 13th of March... It hasn't been alive for a very long time, I can hardly believe you revived it. :P
I didn't really like Luke myself, but it's always nice to see support on a character.
Would like to have seen Carley last one more episode.
It think it would have been good to see Luke's progression into the zombie apocalpse for at least another season.
(?)Lilac approves.

That's why I like to think of his character having had a lot of potential for growth, for the things you said.

After episode 4, I wanted Luke to be the playable character of season 3, DAMN ICE!

I agree Luke had potential to become a leader for the group, although he would have to become more hardened.
I still cant believe that Bonnie get out of the ice but not Luke, LOGIC?
I liked him until episode 3. In episode 4 and 5, he was a mess

no that's not LOGIC, that's BAD WRITING

so yeah BAD WRITING
I make a vote, BAD WRITING DOESN"T COUNT
Who ARGEE? ^_^
I wish Bonnie had died instead of Luke, hope we get the chance to blow her traitor head off in S3.
I love how Directly under the Thread I just made about Trashing Luke, there's a thread about Loving Luke. XD
Bonnie CAN die though. But Luke dies too.
Bonnie can die too
He was best npc in season 2 , ı cried when he died.
I agree, they had a different dimension to Lee and Clem. More of a brother/sister thing going on, this is pretty strong in episode 2.
He was too my favourite Season Two character and don't know why people dislike him.
I agree.
