I have worked hard to improve the narrative, and spent a lot of time on this chapter trying to make it as good as I could make it. I have had some issues in the past with actually finishing fanfictions, but I have nothing to do, and I really want to write again, so I promise to finish this one. A reminder as it has been a while, remember, it's an alternate universe, not a what if...or, I'd of written more to the style of the game. It follows just about through to most of Episode 2 on the second season, but there's things that are different. Characters like Bonnie for example, she's never been introduced into the story-line, and nobody found the cabin group at the ski lodge until a few days later while they were heading off to Wellington with Kenny's group, etc etc, so on and so forth.
That said, 5 points to anybody who can guess what scene I'm making a reference to in the beginning that I laughed my ass off about from the game. 10 points if you get the reference to one of my favorite zombie-ish films of all time ^_^ and a bonus 50 points if you can figure out the Latin puns I threw in there.

It's based on the St John's, before their interactions with Lee's group. I don't do as much detail as you, I mostly focus on dialogue. But you might like it. I just put up chapter 3 today!

Premise : A series of shorts that takes place in the first days of the outbreak and follows the intertwining paths of three survivors. A young girl, national guard lieutenant and ruthless career criminal. Each chapter will contain exactly ONE major choice that readers on the forum would choose. Technically, it's an interactive fic and I will be allowing character submission, but I will be rather selective about characters I decide to use. Give me a good character and it might just turn up as the main character in a new chapter.
Here's the thing, I try to write very carefully and professionally. This means I spend a lot of time editing and perfecting my work to give people the best reading experience possible. I generally think ya'll are great and I'm happy to share my work with you all, but I'd like to gauge interest first, to makes sure I'm not wasting my time with a dumb idea.
Here's my fic that I've been working on for literally months. It explores the relationship between Jane and Luke at the observation deck, and what I believe to have transpired, from Jane's perspective.

As ice thaws, it can break. Fissures and cracks, jagged edges—they can cut you open, or leave you exposed.
But melted ice can rekindle life. It just needs time, and warmth….
