    I think they should make an exception for TWDG at least. Not every one of their titles should be simplified to the extent Telltale have their fans saying 'we want more hubs'. Me as a gamer, I like searching around and there being plenty of things to uncover. It gets dissatisfying when you go into a short hub section after 10 to 15 minutes of dialogue and there's only three things to look at :(

    Tales from the Borderlands I don't mind so much because the plot's so funny and you just forget about it, but I really don't think it works for a ZA type game where you want to look around and you want to talk to people, and you can't do it or it's limited. I think it was mentioned on here at some point that the hubs were actually the easy part [at least, I'm sure somebody on here told me that] if that's the case then it couldn't hurt them to add just a few extra widdle thingys ;_;

    As I said previously, Telltale is deliberately aiming to make their games more cinematic and less like a typical game. Don't get me wrong -

  • Walking Dead is actually the title they are most likely to continue simplfying; it's what attracted their larger audience and made Telltale become popular and mainstream. Walking Dead is what made Telltale's more cinematic games popular in the first place. If anything, it's much more likely they will make an exception for the other games than they would for Walking Dead.

  • Simplifying as in they're gunna make it better and have more puzzles like S1, or simplifying like make it easier and not as complex with puzzles like S1?

    (I'm just a volunteer Moderator making guesses - I am not Telltale Staff) It will probably play exactly like Season 2, but with episodes the same length as Borderlands or Game of Thrones (meaning, episodes will be around two hours or a little longer/shorter). When they say the game will be bigger, they probably don't mean that from a gameplay perspective but a story perspective - meaning, they will probably take into account the different endings from Season 2 for some portion of the Season.

    They don't mean you are going to have an open world game or anything like that, as they are trying to make their games more cinematic and accessible to a wide audience outside of gamers, which is something they took into consideration even as far back as Season 1 of Walking Dead.

  • But everyone will, and both are produced by telltale as part of their new narrative experience. I'd be willing to bet a lot of moneu that either the playable sections won't be as long as episodes now, or wait times will be far longer.

    The TV show won't be made by Telltale, they'll certainly have a role in it since they are working with the company making it. We currently don't know who's making it since it's by some mysterious unannounced partner.

    what you do?
    kill kenny or jane

  • Well that will suck if they model the game around the season 2 format of puzzles/npc interaction/decision. Especially for a game like TWD where you want to immerse yourself into the environment and interact with the people around you as much as possible. Definitely doesn't seem like a good thing IMO, and i feel like the changes that were made in between seasons made it less cinematic (in the sense that I felt the plot progressing like a movie of sorts)

    I think the more they strive to make the game more cinematic, the worse the games decisions get and in turn the storyline, characters, and game suffer. And then telltale suffers when we realize that their whole concept of "the game is tailored to the decisions you make" is false... It'll be too late.

  • All you can do is wait. Telltale is busy with other projects, like Minecraft and finishing up Game of Thrones and Borderlands. I get that you're anticipated for Season 3, but the release date is something we won't know until Telltale announces it, and that's something we can't control. Until the time comes, find something else that you do for fun. It'll get your mind off the anticipation.

  • I don't. I'm only assuming. They still got other games to work on which are Game of Thrones, Borderlands and Minecraft. It's the most logical theory as to why they are delaying the release of Season 3. They're not a huge company. They only have a little amount of employees. I think like around 180 people work there. Plus they gotta make sure that the story is written and edited well and that the animation and the voice acting isn't funky. Creating a game is not an easy task, especially when it's made by a company with a small amount of employees.

    More than 240.

    They do not detain Season 3, due to other games. Season Three - that's a lot of work and it is in the writing stage. There are 5 endings and a lot of work. So there is no point in doing concept art character models, except so far allocated some artists for season 3, so they made some concept art based on the parts of the script, I pretty think.

    They should write 3-4 episodes, and then we can talk about the trailer and release date, but while a difficult job. Therefore there is no need for staff other than the writers. Do you understand? Season 3 does not doing because of DLC and other games. We were given a DLC to brighten up the waiting time between the second and third season, while Season 3 did not yet ready for start.

    I don't. I'm only assuming. They still got other games to work on which are Game of Thrones, Borderlands and Minecraft. It's the most logica
