Is there any potential story to be told for Lilly?
For me she is one of the most interesting characters in the series. And I feel like there is a lot more they can add, I said in a few comments they should do a redemption story arc. Not in such a way that she is completely forgiven for some of her actions, but that so it adds depth to her character.

Robert Kirkman pretty much ruined any chance of that happening. She was supposed to be the Lilly from the comic books but Kirkman decided to feature her in his novel so Telltale had to change some minor stuff and now it's just messy and makes no sense that 2 people looking the totally same with the same name lives in the same area with different dads. I think Telltalte wants to stay away from her and just not fight Kirkman on this. Because in the end he is the boss.
There was - she should have had Kenny's season 2 story. Alas, I don't see her returning now, Telltale are unlikely to bring back a character from season 1 AGAIN and have them dominate the series. The one solice is that season 3 will be the first season which Kenny will not dominate.
Also Telltale likes leaving female group member's fates unclear/unknown (Molly, Christa, Lilly).
Like i said before, she is NOT the same character from the comics and rober kirkman confirmed that!!!!!!!!
I would like to see her come back , why can't she be part of the upcoming DLC. Who is going to be in that, new people? People we already know/met? I just don't know.
I hope so, but others and probably Telltale writers don't feel the same way. And that worries me.
I hope so. She was a cool character (up until that moment) and damn was her voice actor good!
I'd like to see her again, but after what happened with Kenny's character and how crudely written off Christa and Omid was, I'd rather she remain gone.
Plus, writing her in Season 3 just to satisfy the urges of players wanting her dead would be an insult to her character and to players who did like her, even if we are in the minority, it doesn't make it any less petty.
Why? She's a much more interesting character than Kenny IMO. I would say that Telltale bringing Kenny back in Season 2 means that its more likely they'll do something similar in Season 3. They've already broken the plausibility barrier once, so why not again? There was no hint that she died, so her reappearance would make even more sense than Kenny. Before I knew that Lilly was supposed to be from the comics, I just assumed she was going to reappear at some point. Her departure screamed that she'll be important later. I get that was because of the comics, but now that Kirkman fucked that up, it makes so much sense to bring her back to wrap up her incomplete story.
That's about the most tenuous trend I've seen anyone draw on this forum. There are plenty of female characters whose fate is not ambiguous (Katjaa, Carley, Sarah, Clem, etc), and plenty of male characters whose fate is ambiguous (Mike, Arvo, Vince, Nate, Wyatt, etc).
