Mine Kinda just happened really. No real rhyme or reason other than I like the nuclear fallout guy in it. I added the 'Occupy Telltale Forums' part pretty recently, only because I was bored and had just done some research on the Occupy Wall Street movement and liked the sound of it.
My gravatar is Itsuki Mamoru from Forbidden Siren 2, which is one of my favourite horror game series of all times.
No real reason why I chose him, other than that we look similar (besides ethnicity) and he's the main hero of the game...though he's far from the best main character of the games.
A twitter pal of mine (@hallm3lbp) who does production art for LittleBigPlanet offered to draw an adorable cartoon version of me so I could … moreuse it on my social media accounts and my business cards (when I used to write for websites). I just added the TTG logo in the corner.
It's that scene where Jack took over Rhys' body! I enjoy the characters of both Rhys and Jack, and I thought the scene looked really cool! ...And I totally dig the Body Snatcher trope.
My previous avatar was a drawing I made of Sasha being excited about the Atlas Silver, but I got kinda self-conscious about it. I don't think I'll be changing this one for a while.

Just some classy Handsome Jack. I liked it because i could imagine Jack posing for a painting of himself to hang on his office, then strangling the painter before he finished the rest of his body because he annoyed him, hence why the painting pictures only Jack's head and part of his upper torso.

Previously, I used the flag of Rojava, the autonomous Kurdish state in Northern Syria. It was to honor the fight for a Kurdish state and to honor a friend from college who traveled back to fight, whom I haven't heard from in quite a while.
I've had lots of avatars/gravatars to say the least. My first one was just an avatar of Max (or was it Sam? It was the bunny dude) from Sam and Max, and I happen to like bunnies. And thus my bunny theme came into play (Ironically I gave myself the nickname the Dark Rabbit, a play off of the Dark Knight).
The first actual gravatar came into play shortly after the release of my first chapter to my webcomic series here. There was a panel (of my character) I really liked so I ended up colouring it and made it my own. I went back and forth with this one.
The second one was for fun, it was me dressed up as the Joker.
The third one was when I was having a bad time, I like to convey my emotions with art, and I used a picture of Tobi from Naruto in the rain to convey those emotions.
My fourth was of me along side with a group of people I onced hanged out with (lotta history, it's the past now, I still talk to some of them still though) on one side and on the other was characters representing my comic/fanbase and someone very special to me. I went back to this only once. I'm not going to use it again.
My fifth one was again another dark one, consider it a comatose stage. Same reasons as before, and I used some inspiration from a wrestler called Sting.
My current one is of me saying "Fuck you assholes, I still got fight in me.". Haha well sorta like that, it's basically a symbolic picture that despite the dirt and blood that's gotten onto me I will use it as wisdom, I'm still gonna stand strong and stay the same, refusing to let the world change me and take control of my life, and holding onto what's most important to me.

I'm not a big fan of avatars showing just the face, it makes their head look larger than it actually is.
