I watched the VGX awards mostly because a lot of us on the forum expected Telltale to be there, and at the time TWD S2 hadn't started yet (keep in mind this was when I lurked the forum, wasn't a member yet) so I was expecting news for that game, but, (as you might have guessed) that's where they first revealed TFTBL and GoT to the whole world. Wasn't too excited at first since I didn't watch GoT, or play Borderlands, so I didn't really expect to invest anything in either (also keep in mind TWD was the only thing from Telltale I had played at that point, so I was only interested in news for that game).
So yeah, it was pretty cool to see it be revealed live for the first time, it's weird considering how big of an impact the game has on me now :P
Since we can't talk about off topic things, I guess we can still talk about Telltale. So let's talk about how you first knew about TFTBL....… more.
I'll go first, one day around November when episode one already came out I was watching my one of favorite streamers play csgo but I decided to watch something new. Cryaotic was streaming TFTBL episode 1 that day and I thought
Oh great telltale created a new game, that's not TWD S3?
I stayed to watch for like a minute and thought "holy fuck this is boring"(Since I'm biased). I can't believe I still remember what scene it was. It was when Rhys and Vaughn went to talk to Rudiger. I knew about telltale around March 2014 and that's when I got into Telltale games and TWD too, I started to watch from Pewdiepie most of the time. I started to lurk around this forum since late November till....well until I created this account in January. At first I was a little "ehh" about joining the forum but… [view original content]
Wow, I'm the opposite of you both. Been a fan of Borderlands from the start, not that I love loot hoarding fps genre, the game just stood out. It really was something so new in blending fps with rpg elements. I fell in love with the art style and the comedy (this was before Borderlands became Memelands). Just how ridiculous weapons could be was also very intriguing. Was super pumped for the second game, pre-ordered it with the season pass, played the hell out of it. Looking back I can say that it really didn't push the envelope the way the first one did with what an fps could be, but it did more improve a lot of the weaknesses of the first game. But it also gave drawbacks and areas I was on the fence, like how so much of the humor had become super topical and just references that won't last long, or how weapon variety got reduced because each brand had to have their own gimmick. But I loved it so much that when I heard TPS was coming I still pre-order, like a sucker, cause I was not crushed but I was severely disappointed (I paid $60 for Borderlands 2 with low gravity?!?!!?). On top of that, the game clearly was just a cash in on die hards like myself, by milking the popularity of Handsome Jack. As far as story telling went, it created a lot plot holes (which happens when you try to jam in an afterthought into the continuity). So I still loved the franchise but I was looking for the series to take a different approach. Be more risk taking it in what the game play could offer.
So I kept up to date with Borderlands news and heard about TFTBL off Gearbox site (or wherever they posted I can't remember when I'm tired) the day after it was announced. My first reaction was joy because I knew Telltale could make a good game (Sam and Max was the only game I had played by them at that point) and besides the popularity their games were getting, I had friends who were liking them to. So I was thrilled. So I tried to stay as up to date as possible on it. Again, I pre-ordered the season pass, like a sucker, when it became available but I haven't been disappointed (you know, aside from the lack of Rhyiona). But seeing how this game is going to impact future gets me hyped. Also, somehow I had missed the fact Troy and Laura were in it and I literally started freaking out when their characters started talking for the first time.
So I don't come onto forums that much, or hang around them that much, but I do love Borderlands so much and talking about combined with the waits, I guess I just kept coming back this place.... And I'm impressed by how much talent and passion and originality I've seen on this forum (or even this thread alone). You guys are awesome. And I guess I just want to say thank you for putting up with my shit and just being apart of this.
First knew about TFTBL? Ez pz fam

I was so shocked and horrified that I missed a whole game that I instantly bought it. so...yeah. end of the story.

Well, when TWAU and season 2 of TWD have finished, I didn't look for any other Telltale games cause I assumed that there would be no more TTG for a while but in mid December, I found out about Telltale releasing Game of Thrones. At that time, I wasn't watching the show but I said "Hey, Telltale is releasing Game of Thrones. Since I love fantasy that much, I should tell my parents to buy it for me." I really enjoyed episode 1 of GoT and that's what gotten to me in the show and fully in Telltale games in general. I decided to look for more Telltale games and I've seen about Tales From the Borderlands. I wasn't familiar with the Borderlands universe and I'm not that familiar now. At the first episode, the first minutes were kinda boring but later the episode became so good. The story, the charactes, the humor... Tales From the Borderlands is now my second favorite Telltale game. So actually, Game of Thrones got me into Tales From the Borderlands xD

Maybe you want a kitten (except if you have a cat and you want another one xD)

do you wanna call an exterminator? (funfact: in germany, the words for exterminator and vault hunter are one and the same word: kammerjäger)

Someone is in love with our good Rhyiona president, huh? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
They are getting rid of all free content. You will need a subscription to view their releases. Way the screw over the fans.
You missed an entire Borderlands game??!?!?!?! You monster frisbee

Well, I got a hangover. :P
Oh.
Well, let's at least cheer up a bit. The thread has reached 269 likes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) xD
Lots of good 269 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You deserved all of it.
Good morning
I went out to buy milk. Not one of my favourite activities at 10 o'clock in the morning but it had to be done :P
Now that is what I want to see xD
Okay, enough lewd posts xD I really don't want to upset Green after the rules he posted for us.
Morning to you, Jumpy!
Well, be glad at least that today is Satuday. No school and you won't have much to do, right?
Hey, Dave, haven't seen you around for a while
Hell yeah, the weekend is what's keeping me alive x)
I'm making pancakes so I desperately needed the milk.
Hm... pancakes. I really want to eat some pancakes now x)
Make some, it's that easy
Well, I'm not hungry, now. Maybe tomorrow morning. xD
I ate a breakfast already, so... x)
That feel when your leg itches and you run your hand through it and notice that it's a $PIDER
Ah, cool
You probably wake up early, I'm a lazy person :P
Plus I had a dream about frigging kittens and I'm very confused about it.
Ugh, I hate spiders. ;-;
That is a completely logical and normal reaction, if I say so myself.
THANK YOU!!!
As long as it's dead.
I woke up at 9 AM so it's not that early (It's 11:27 AM where I come from now xD)
Maybe you want a kitten (except if you have a cat and you want another one xD)
I'm glad I don't live in Australia now xD
I occasionally jump in and say hi and join the fun.
That's not real, It's just a stereotype of Australia thay everything will kill you.
The biggest known spiders are a bit bigger than your palms.
Who knows they might be somewhere in australia though, what isn't. Wouldn't be surprised.
Still pretty early xD
Well that's nothing new, I've always wanted a cat.
