What do you think would've happened if...

Kenny shot Ben/saved Christa and instead of being lost to the herd, he actually reunited with Lee and kept looking for Clem? Would've he stayed behind with Christa and Omid when Lee wanted to "go for it" or would he be stubborn and accompany him to the Marsh House? Would've he (determinant) shot Lee instead of Clem? Also what do you think that would've happened all those months between S1 and S2 if Kenny was with Christa, Omid and Clem?

  • Kenny would've absolutely been stubborn and charge right through that herd right by Lee's side (IMO). Who knows what would've happened with the stranger and he would've shot Lee himself, Lee would probably prefer it that way. If Kenny was with Christa, Omid and Clem? That's a toughie, I honestly don't know.

    That reminds me of:

Mike gives me that remembrance of Lee's Last Stand. XD

I think that if Kenny was with Christa, Omid and Clem by the start of S2, Michelle wouldn't have killed Omid, as Kenny would've probably entered that bathroom with Clem. But who knows. Maybe Michelle would've shot Kenny.

Kenny loved her anyways. He cared for her in S1 and he definitely cares for her in S2. It is noted when they reunite that Kenny has missed her very much (and Lee as well).

  • It depends on what your choices were. If you didn't side with him, he would probably stay with christa but I always sided with him which indicates to me he would've went with Lee to the end.

  • I like Kenny, but I honestly think Christa would've ending up ditching him shortly after Savannah. She was fairly intolerant of anyone who would put her and Omid's lives in potential peril, and Kenny's overly-emotional approach to problems would've ending up doing just that. She wouldn't have felt too guilty over it, either, because unlike Ben (who she initially voted to ditch, but later recanted), Christa knew that Kenny had a decent enough chance to survive on his own.

  • I doubt Kenny would abandon Clem. He would definitely have arguments very often with Christa, but I don't think they would split up. Kenny formed a strong bond with Clem, Lee, and everyone who was important for them. That reminds me; I wish we get to see a Kenny-Christa reunion in S3.

  • I don't think it would have been Kenny's choice. In fact, one could make the entirely plausible argument that Kenny and Christa would have come to blows had Christa asked him to leave the group. In the end, however, I definitely think Christa's opinion of Kenny was not high enough for her to be comfortable with him in their group. Not in the long term, anyway.

  • I don't think it would've escalated so quickly. I don't think Kenny would've tried to pull a "Jane" on Christa, he only did that to Jane because he thought she'd killed AJ, not because they hated each other. IMO Kenny and Christa respected each other aside their differences. They both wanted the same: to protect Clem. I think Kenny's relationship with her would've been the same as it was with Lee. They'd have their differences, but in the end they'd get along.

  • Christa definitely respected Lee, but a lot of her dialogue in Around Every Corner and No Time Left indicated that she only tolerated Kenny. At least that's the impression I got. With Lee dead, and no realistic chance of finding another boat, I honestly think Christa would've come to the conclusion that her small group would be better off without someone as overly-emotional as Kenny in it.

You're right that the situation would never have gotten as bad as the conflict between Kenny and Jane, however. When I said he and Christa could potential "come to blows" if she had forced him to leave the group, I was thinking less along the lines of a fight to the death, and more in terms of a heated shoving match.

  • Yeah but she can't just kick him out of the group, especially if he is also close to Clementine and has a good relationship with her. You said that it wouldn't be Kenny's choice but I don't think it would be Christa's either. They'd be forced to work together. There might have been disagreements, but I think they would have done alright since there plans were basically the same (try and find Wellington).

  • I forgot about the Wellington angle. I'll admit that's a significant point in favor of them working together. I still feel that Christa and Kenny's personalities were too opposed to allow them to work together for long, however. Eventually, unless Kenny calmed down significantly from what we've seen in the games, I feel Christa would have eventually told him to hit the road, regardless of how Clem (and possibly Omid) felt about it.

Also, I never really felt that Season One's Kenny and Clementine were that close. In fact, depending on your choices throughout the season, it's entirely possible that Kenny is willing to abandon Clem and Lee after she's kidnapped. Yes, I felt they were close in Season Two, but I got the impression that was at least partially because Clem had grown so much in the interim that they were able to look at each other as equals.

  • Kenny would of been stubborn and went with Lee to the hotel, also i think even if Lee decided not to kill the stranger Kenny would of by himself, then when Lee was going down in the street he would of pulled his body threw the streets to river street trying to find another boat rather than taking refuge in the jewelry store.

  • That would be cool

  • Well, although it's determinant if Kenny helps you or not at the end of Ep4, he eventually helps you anyways no matter what in Ep5, so I think in the end he realizes how close he is to Lee and Clem, that they're the only family he's got left, and will still risk his life to keep them safe. Also, I think Clem wouldn't have allowed Christa to kick Kenny out, I think she would've defended him like she defended Ben at Crawford, but that's just my opinion.
