Did you ever think Clem would die at any point in season 2?

When All That Remains was released, that was probrably one of the first questions I asked. I looked through the slides and automatically knew she would make it to Episode 4 (she appears on the slide). But No Going Back always scared me! Did you think Clem was going to die during any point in season 2? Of so, why?

  • When she got shot, did not think it would continue past that dream ngl

  • I do not understand ... Clementine's not dead season 2

  • I was always in between.

  • The end of episode 4 looked very grim, practically unreal that anyone should survive lol. But gotta have the rest of the episode and killing off protagonists would get people even more pissy.

When she got shot in NGB

I feared for her mortality in a few other situations, but wasn't overly worried about her dying (as in, I was worried she'd get seriously/permanently injured in some way, but wouldn't die from it): the shootout and falling into the ice water, mainly.

  • I mean I knew they wouldn't kill her off by episode 4, but I always feared she would die by No Going Back (she doesn't appear on the slide).

  • Agreed. I always thought Amid The Ruins was the episode where she basically loses her mind.

  • Yes I was worried about what Telltale would do with Clem in Episode 5, considering how they killed Lee in Season 1. Not to mention the trailer for No Going Back, which showed a young Clementine and then cuts to Clem alone in a snow storm with a bleeding right shoulder, really terrified me and the vine of her walking in the snow with Oh My Darling Clementine playing in the background didn't help. As the episode went on I started to worry a bit less, and then she got shot, at which point I went ballistic (not joking, I screamed in horror when I saw her get shot, not ashamed to admit it), and was really worried that the episode would end with the Lee dream, thankfully it didn't. So yes I was worried, but I'm glad they didn't kill her.

  • Not at all.

  • Everything about No Going Back scared me. I was so relieved that she made it through all endings.

  • Nope episode 4 showed how hyper competent and plot armored she was

  • No. In fact I think that was one of the big problems in episode 5. Clementine's survival was pretty much a foregone conclusion.
