Clementine as a villain in future games

If Clementine is to be included in upcoming games, do you think it would be plausible that she could become a villain? I know it would rub a lot of Clem fanatics up the wrong way, but I reckon it would make for a great storyline if done right.

  • If Telltale pulled that stunt, they'd lose me on The Walking Dead permanently. There is no way I would buy a game where Clementine turns into a crook where she goes killing innocent people, or siding with Carver-type characters.
  • Depends on how you play her I guess. Everyone has their reasons as to why they pick the "evil" choice, they consider it right or justified. I like this game because of all the Grey areas you get in to. Some side characters consider Clem a villian in S2. Arvo, Rebecca (blackmailing her), etc.
  • I agree, You could probably just make her a "evil" type of character. Now I dont mean the mustache twirling type of baddy. I mean just like Carver. I saw Carver inside of Clem a lot and how she could turn into something like that. Ofcourse with less force and more understanding.

It's a wonderful idea. I do not think Clementine is bad, seeing that she has a good heart.

  • I don't know if Clementine would ever be a Carver type villain. For a start you need power and need to be completely insane lol. I was thinking more of a cold, ruthless manipulator. Maybe a Carver protege. I used to think he was crazy when he compared himself to Clementine, but maybe he recognized his own kind in her :P

  • I can't realistically see Clementine becoming a villian, it wouldn't make sense.

  • I don't have a problem with the idea. If she ever does become a antagonist she doesn't have to be necessarily evil. A writer overall can make a villain sympathetic. Look at Zaheer from Legend of Korra for example. He wasn't bad because he was bad. He had noble intentions but those good intentions went in conflict with the protagonist aka Korra

  • I would demolish the Telltale head office if they pulled that stunt.

  • If they did, I would never be able to take this game seriously again.

It's entirely possible and if it happens it happens. The world of 'The Walking Dead' does change people, and although Clem is young and strong, I bet could be influenced in some way. I wouldn't like her too, but if she did, I wouldn't blame TellTale, i'd blame the story, the characters who made her this...and hopefully through my play through could attempt to fix or amend it. I think people that outright deny it have to think a little...they are too worried about what the writer is doing then the actual story. You realise if they made Clementine a mass murderer and gave her invincibility and she could stop time, it would/could still be canonical (if Kirkman allows rights such as that)? They would never do it and it would turn pretty much everyone off, including myself, but it's how stories work. If not...then it turns to making your own.
