Why so? I know that most people really like Clementine and Season 2. You understand that you are a few, right? Clementine BAD ASS Character won the best there is, along with Ellie (The Last of Us). I decided that I respect your opinion, but I really want to know who is like me, who loves Clementine and Season 2 ... It is disappointing that most people do not like to sign up here.
I know I talk about it too much, which is annoying ... but I think she very amazing. Season 2 was a good season as well, anyway I think you understand ... this is just my opinion, so do'd pick me and curse me.
Sorry for bad English

I was one of the people that didn't "like" Season 2 at all at first, but as time passed I began to enjoy it better and not to compare it to the last one. They're both great on their own ways.
It's weird.
Because Clementine in Season One and Two - same person.
If somebody don't like Clem in Season 2 It's already meaning that he/she don't like person Clementine.
I didn't kinda like S2 but that doesn't mean I didn't like Clem either. Clem will always be my favourite
I loved Clem in both seasons. I loved how she was shown to be so badass in episode 1 of season 2, with the stitching up her arm bit, especially. After that, or after episode 2 maybe, things weren't really focused on her however. The focus moved too much to other characters, and not in a good way. There were some nice bits we were shown of Clem bonding with others in a positive way, but not enough imo. Mostly because I suppose, there was so much fighting within the group to begin with--there's no time for positive scenes or positive bond building when people are fighting all the time. A good story calls for both ups and downs, but if there's just down after down after down after down, it's just spiraling to doom, and there's little room for Clem's character to shine in that.
That isn't exactly true imo. There are pretty drastic character changes between a realistic young child deeply affected by the ZA and just a monotone, kinda boring robot. She lost a great deal of personality imo and I would have made her more brutal and vengeful Clementine that has a determinate soft side and have it reflected in Melissa Hutchinson's voice (we know damn well she's capable of doing it she is one of the best female VAs in all of VG imho) as for Season 2... don't want to go back into drama again
People found her uninteresting. Which she was. I still like her, she was just too perfect. I don't however find her robotic just monotone.
I liked Clementine in Season 2, the problem was too much focus was put on other characters like Kenny or Jane, that even at times it felt more like the game became more Kenny's story or Jane's at times, rather than Clementine's. And I still get annoyed when thinking about that magazine interview where it was said Jane was the most important character in the story, despite her not having even been in all the episodes, nor was she the main protagonist. It just sounded so much like they were saying Jane is much more important than Clementine, and I hate that.
Not only that, Clementine wasn't given enough time of her own to develop as a character. We rarely hear her mention her old life before the ZA and Lee took priority in her memories; Lee gets mentioned more than her own parents, or even Christa who took care of Clementine for longer period of time than Lee did. That's where a major issue lies; Telltale directed their focus of what both theirs and gamers memories of Season 1 were and worked with those, rather than focusing on what should be Clementine's memories, revealing those to us, and fleshing her out as a more believable character.
I still care about Clementine, but Season 2 did her little justice.
i agree
you are boring -.-
Now I think about it, the fight between Kenny and Jane at the end was also a fight of who was the best and most interesting character in the game. Always been a big Kenny fan, but now I realise that Jane had also risen to the level where she was either the 1st or 2nd best character in the game.
As for Clementine, yeah some people definitely like her more than others. I quite liked playing as her and wouldn't mind if she is brought back for season 3. If she is to be brought back in season 3 then they should talk about Christa and her parents more. Would be cool to have a flashback scene with her parents before ZA.
Hey, its his opinion.
I liked the girl from the get go. I appreciated her even more after S2. I defenitly think she's one of the best female protagonists out there.
I remember that surviving was never my focus until i played as Clementine. When i played as Lee my main focus was protecting her. When Lee got bit my mind was concerned about how i was going to protect Clementine in the future... let alone find her before i die. When Lee found the Marsh House i knew he was gonna do whatever it took to save her, and i had already accepted the fact that he was going to die no matter what. Seeing Clementine's reaction broke my heart though, and it also broke my heart to see her become used to seeing death everywhere in Season 2. It's pretty messed up but as sad as it is... there is no doubt that she is growing up to become one bada** survivor. If she survives throughout the entire Walking Dead series, i seriously wouldnt mind them make games telling her story as an adult in maybe another series. And when i say game series i mean like the kind of games how Laura Croft and Nathan Drake have, except Clementine's would be during the apocalypse.
Season 2's main problem was Clementine being a protagonist, it is good feeling like a child and giving you different opertunities, but when you play as someone that was the center of making the majority of your choices in the past season and all of your choices do not matter anymore. I wish you could have played as another kid or teenager who could relate to Clementine and have child conversations and also have choices from the past season affect season 2
I liked Clementine as a character, but felt she didn't work quite as well as Lee as a protagonist.
Season 2 would have been stronger I think if you were either playing as a new protagonist, or a returning adult character like Christa.
Kenny contributed a lot for me to like Season 2 tbh. If he hadn't been in it, I wouldn't have liked it at all, I think. He kind of "saved" the season.
Clem is the best
Yeah, saved the season through fan-service,
Huh?
Exactly.
So you mean Kenny's return and role was fan-service? I'd say Kenny was better written in S2 than in S1.
