What did you originally think was going to happen?

  • I also remember reading that the ruins would be Carver's camp. I would've preferred this over what we got.

I wrote a long post about my theory of what's going to happen before. So I am going to give the short version. After episode 2, after

  • It could be a little complicated at first. Tell me how it goes.

  • The "No Going Back" title card was very eerie. The "Amid The Ruins" one creeped me out too. I was especially creeped out when someone found that No Going Back was originally called "Better To Sleep". I wish the 400 days choices actually mattered in season 2. They could've done so many things with these characters.

I remember writing a really long post about how Clem was going to escape Carver's capture at the end of episode 3 (which did actually happen

  • yeah i remember that :D gruesome!, it looked like Clem might have had to deliver the baby, imagine screwing that up xD

That could be what happened. Maybe this season was originally going to be too dark. I also feel like the "birth" scene was too dark too maybe? Someone found "Rebecca_bloody_towel" or something in the files.

  • I thought that from the episode slide XD I think the birth scene was supposed to be more graphic with just Clem being available to help Rebecca. This could've been a perfect moment for Clem to have a flashback to when Christa went into labor.

  • I also wish we had a flashback in episode 5 where you play as Clementine right after she shoots/leaves Lee until she reunites with Christa and omid outside of Savannah.

  • Here is what I was expecting from Season 2 by the second episode:

    • Carver was going to live until the last episode
    • The baby was going to be used to push Carver to the edge and to signify moral dilemma. If anyone has seen Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, I saw the cabin group as the Enterprise, Carver and the Howe's group as Khan, and (when the baby is revealed to be Alvin's) Rebecca/Alvin's lives be similar to Kirk's life; the one thing that pushes Carver/Khan to their insanity and, ultimately, their death.
    • Interaction with the 400 days group and such interaction determining who helps you escape and, indirectly, who lives
    • Becca was going to be a plot device used to show what can happen to Clem if she allows the state of the world to consume her mentally. If there is one thing that I can say I'm upset didn't happen, this is it. I know Sarah was used to show what Clem could have been like if over sheltered. Becca could have been used to show a completely opposite extreme. Even after I found out that the short haired chick wasn't Becca, I still hoped for her and Clem to interact heavily. Carver pushed for Clem over Becca because while Becca may have been bigger, taller, stronger, and/or old, Clem had nerves, tenacity, and (most importantly) Clem has gone through pain and suffering, putting her in a mental state more capable of relating and executing of Carver's vision.
    • Kenny was going to represent old habits and ways thus trying to pull the old Clementine out. The positives: Clem's old spirit of hope could return. The negatives: Clem's old nervous ways could return. This would result in the final episode Clem choosing between the old (Kenny) or the new (Luke).
    • Rebecca and Alvin would have represent what it would be like if Clem's parents were alive (after we get to know them more, of course)
    • Our choices would determine whether Sarah would adapt and survive or she would regress and die
    • Clem would have a mental breakdown at some point (not the cult stuff, but just her loosing it when the Kenny/Luke bickering pushes her over)
    • Christa's fate would be explored... sigh
    • Wellington would either be revealed to be nonexistent or just an area where there are a bunch of shantytowns

I enjoyed Season 2 btw, this is just what I was being led on to by the time episode 2 rolled in. While I liked it, oh man there were so many possible ways it could have outdone Season 1.

  • The possibilities were endless. I wonder why Telltale didn't decide to go with any of these. I'm sure they could've pulled it off.
