Looks like Rick is gonna chop his hand off since he cut his hand on the machete that was sticking through the walker.
I... uh... I don't think they're doing that in the show. Kirkman apparentely said he seriously regrets cutting off Rick's hand in the comics.
Of course, that whole deal in the comics with the weapons coated in walker shit raises the question why getting splattered when you get up close and personal and no doubt get some in your eyes or mouth doesn't do the same thing. It was silly in the comic, and it's gonna be silly in the show when they bring it up.
To be fair, they could still do the poisoned weapons from the comics without using walker guts to do it. They could easily have people use some kind of poison that they tip their knives/weapons in.
I don't think they're going that route. Otherwise Abraham would've gotten infected when crazy Sasha cut him during that bridge scene. I think it was episode 5:10
Also it's already been a fact that they were going to let rick cut his hand but it would be a hassle of editing out his real hand from season 3 to now, in fact it's better they didn't because it might happen now or they can throw there own twist being that the show is "based" on kirks comic

oh yeah, i almost forgot. it kinda pissed me off last season. well i guess they threw that shit out the window.
yeah i know well fuck it. we will see what happens later on on that story line
