Like i said before i think morgans mentality will also have pros and not just cons. His purpase is to prove there doesn't NEED to be killing to succede. I have a theory that unlike what everyone thinks, when the wolves attack again it will be KILLING that dooms the group. I.E Rick shooting the Wolf leader. Which would lead to a massacre in which Rick would win ,but the noise would attract a heard (Like in the comics). Maiking the characters who have been convinced of this being the only way question themselves. Something that would continue for 2 or 3 seasons till the end of AOW climaxing when Rick trades his ideology for Morgans (who sadly MAY have died by that point).
I don't know if they will. But if they somehow manage to make most of the tv's fanbase be ok with Rick NOT killing Negan i think we can agree that any plot sacrifice is worth it.
