well, that's what we love about GoT. they actually make us like characters, make us feel love for them, and then they rip the love from us and leave a hole of sadness, despair, and, the best of all, hatred. how many shows can you name that actually made you feel anything like this? most times, you don't care for the characters, simply because you know that, even if they are surrounded by bear-riding-velociraptors-with-atom-rocket-launchers, they are not in danger at all. but in GoT? you are afraid to turn the page, you are afraid to watch at the screen. you feel panic when your favourites are in danger, you feel relief and joy when they make it out alive, and you feel deep, dark desperation and hatred when they don't make it. and that makes it awesome.
