Could Clementine Meet Michonne?
I'm not entirely certain over the timeline between the video game series and the comics though both mediums exist within the same continuity, considering the Michonne Miniseries will require the pre-purchase of TWD S2 does that mean Michonne's secret story could have some minor butterfly effect on Clem's story (a face to face crossover between the two would be even better but that's just wishful thinking that during the short time Michonne was away for her to have briefly encountered Clem).
What do you guys think? Is the Michonne Miniseries actually connected in some way to the story of Season 2 at all - and what is the likelihood of the player's choices as Michonne potentially impacting Clem's story in Season 3?

i hope so. I think the story of Michonne has already occurred and she met Clementine and Christa. Clementine has been met Michonne before the season - two, maybe when she was 9 years old, and Christa had her baby. We find out what happened to Christa's baby, and how he died. Perhaps we will find things that do not have an answer in season 2. I think it would be a good tip for season 3 ... probably play the Christa meet Clementine. It would be awesome.
I don't think the two characters will meet, that doesn't mean Michonne couldn't meet other characters that Clem knew or will know in Season Three though. And it may have an impact but I don't think it'll affect the primary storyline that was followed from the previous seasons. Kinda like how 400 Days had an impact but not a one important to Clementine's overall story arc.
I could be completely wrong though.
i hope that they do but that would mean an end to the game with Clementine, kinda like how Glen just disappeared and whooop hes in the show

To be honest when it was announced it was sorta random and not expected. TTG has a knack for giving us stuff we don't truly expect or want.

I'm sure. No characters from S1 and S2 playing a major part, nothing about them not having a cameo or brief appearance in passing.
Okay, so the only thing I've managed to scrounge up is a tweet from Job saying that it won't be centered on previous characters.
I could have sworn I saw Laura say that it won't be featuring previous characters, but I must have read it wrong, then.

My theory is that it might have a small cross over in those 9 days that were skipped over. Possibly with arvo and or the Howes survivors.
I'm not sure that the 9 day skip happened around the same time the mini-series is taking place.

So I went to the wikia (and hopefully it's accurate) for the timelines of the comics and for TWDG. Assuming they're correct, season 2 of TWDG ends between Day 858 after the outbreak and Day 869, and in the comics, Michonne is said to be missing and goes on her trip (which will be explored in the mini-series) sometime between Day 623 and Day 1399. As you can see, the days after Clem's season 2 (after Day 869) fall within Days 623-1399, so it is possible for Clem post-season 2 to meet Michonne, as it does fall within the appropriate time frame.
I also found on the wikia (again, assuming it's accurate) this little tidbit:
"Day 623/Day 1399: Michonne goes missing, but shows up later, having went on a journey back to Georgia to find her daughters"
As far as I know, I don't believe this was explicitly stated in the comics and frankly I have no idea where on earth this is coming from. There is this one page from the comics:
where Michonne does reflect on what she thinks happened to her daughters, but as far as I know, I don't see where it explicitly said, during her time away, Michonne went to Georgia or that she actually physically went in search of her daughters. Anyone care to shed some light on this?
Additionally, at the end of TWDG season 2, Clem is somewhere between Virginia and Michigan (as the ski lodge was in Virginia, given the map Luke was looking at, and Wellington is somewhere "near" Michigan, and Howe's is somewhere between the two of them.) That's still a very large distance, and frankly it's pretty dang far from Georgia, where Michonne might be headed. Alexandria (where Rick and the rest are in the comics) on the other hand is actually a town in Virginia, and that's probably closer to where Clem is post-season 2. So basically, for Clem to cross paths with Michonne, either Clem/AJ will have to travel very far south to Georgia (if Michonne went there to find her daughters) or to Virginia in Alexandria (where Rick's group is, though I highly doubt this will happen) or Michonne will travel further north back towards Clem. Who knows, perhaps Michonne does travel south to George in one episode, but then travels north in the next ep. There could be a number of ways in which Michonne/Clem meet.
If this happened, it would be interesting to see Michonne and Clem interact. Given the fact that Clem, as a young African-American girl, might just remind Michonne of her missing daughters, it would indeed be quite a thing to see Michonne encountering this young girl who had taken care of baby AJ. You would think that if Michonne had indeed met Clem during the mini-series, that perhaps she'd have more faith that her daughters (who could've been like Clem) might still be alive. Instead when she comes back from her trip, Michonne is very pessimistic (as indicated by the comic page above.)...It makes me wonder, if Michonne had indeed met Clem, maybe she didn't leave Clem under the best circumstances? Perhaps Michonne had gotten separated from Clem, or something else had gone wrong? Or perhaps something completely different went down instead.
Anyway, I'm not sure if Telltale will actually have the two meet, so I suppose we'll just have to see.
