I don't think I'm going to get it and TWD is my favorite game telltale has made. I'm more hyped for MSM to be honest. I get why they are doing it. They want to bring comic fans to the game. But I bet most people that play the game don't care for the comics, like me. I wanted something that would give us a hint of season 3 or something that advanced the story of the video game. When they said it would have no connection to the story, I decided I wasn't buying it
I don't. I think they are using her popularity from the show / graphic novels instead of characters that are popular from the game. From a business stand point it might be smart, but from a fan base of the game I think it kinda stinks. I'd much rather play as someone from the game. That's one of the problems of killing off so many fan favorites in the game. This could easily have been someone the fans loved out on their own.
Not really. I don't read the comics nor watch the show. There were many other characters, from the game that could have been in the DLC. We already know she's gonna survive and what's gonna happen after to her so it kinda kills the atmosphere, for me, of course.
When they said it would have no connection to the story, I decided I wasn't buying it
To be fair, I think they alluded that they were trying to figure out whether or not it would have an eventual connection with Season 3. Still, though, even as someone else who doesn't read the comics, even I think the Michonne Miniseries could be interesting as long as they make the story just as engaging for all of us who don't read the comics.
With a few exceptions like Game of Thrones, Telltale also tries to make most of their games accessible for people who don't know the source material, even if it is something complicated like Fables was when Telltale made The Wolf Among Us.

Great at building characters, and stories. Horrible at keeping them, and finding interesting ways for them to exit the stage without a predictable outcome (death)

I am ok with this. But I want Telltale to make different series instead making sequels to the same series all the time. I am a little hyped for S3. But i really hope S3 will be the end of TWD series, because they can't make the same thing all time. The story of TWD has to end at some point.
I do agree with you, and I don't want them to do TWD forever. The problem is that the format of this franchise lends itself to lasting indefinitely. Both the show and comics are pretty long running (especially the comics) and the apocalypse nature of this tale means it can pretty well keep going forever. That makes it tough to build towards a natural finale. Which is a real shame, because it tends to drag out as a result.
Still, the Michonne DLC sounds interesting and I am looking forward to it. Though I would have preferred to play as comic book Andrea, my favorite TWD character.

Maybe on the last episode of S3, Clementine will finally get bitten like Lee did. I can just see it now.
Clementine: You have to shoot me… more AJ.
AJ: I- I CAN'T!!! I JUST CAN'T!!!
And tears will be shred. (again)
And then AJ became the new Clementine and the recycle story of The Walking Dead continues.
Nah. I'd like it to go on indefinitely. That's sort of the whole point of the Walking Dead line. It's the "what happens after the zombie movie ends" zombie story,

My main problem is that Robert Kirkman already kind of showed the finger to The Walking Dead Season 1 by changing Lilly's background completely compared to the one provided in the first 3 episodes. So what's stopping him from changing Michonne's story all over again at a later date and make us feel like we are playing someone else's fan fiction?
No. They should've done one of the many DLC ideas we all had and were constantly talking about. I'm much more interested in Minecraft: Story Mode than this Michonne thing.
Actually, I wish they would've just said "no DLC" and just focused on actually making season 3 as good as season 1.
Of course I want a Michonne DLC . This whole month was full of disappointing games .
A Michonne DLC or anything walking dead related will be most welcomed. I can't wait .
I'm curious, what games are you talking about?
Of course you are...
Well..
Life is strange ep 5 :
Tales of the Borderlands … moreep 5
Mad Max
Slender: The Arrival
Yoshi's Woolly World
Assassin's Creed Syndicate ( not the worst but could have been better)
Good thing I have still have gamefly otherwise I wouldn't have played those last 3.
Tales episode 5? I guess you can't win them all.
I agree with a few of those, the others I can't say since I haven't played or seen them.
Also, no need for the passive aggression, I was legitimately curious.
Nah, I don't. I'm not a big fan of Michonne to begin with - I think she's far too OP and her character just generally gets on my nerves. I'd prefer if they put more time into Season 3.
That being said, I'll still play it because I'm always a slut for TWD.
Now I'm reconsidering because you're right. I wasn't interested in Borderlands or TWAU but after playing the demos, I was hooked. Telltale always finds a way to make sure everyone is in the loop.

Not at all. I'm still upset at what 400 days did, or didn't do really, and season 2 didn't do anything to help. This will probably be another game I don't buy and just check some LP's to see if I'm even interested like Minecraft. I'm on the fence in regards to season 3 too and personally I'm hoping that after this they'll step away from TWD. Obviously it got their name known the best, but it feels like they should move on to better projects.

Not really. I love Michonne but there will be no suspense with her character. We know she will make it out just fine. And the success of the game will rely on the other characters we meet. And we can't really make her our character because she already has a set personality. I think it'll just mostly be a bunch of quick time event zombie kills. They won't have a bunch a freedom with the story they tell.
I do. I love Michonne's character, and I'm excited for it. I would've been on board with a DLC for Telltale's original characters as well, but I think this has just as much potential.

I disagree. Just because we know Michonne gets out of the mini-series alive doesn't mean there will be no suspense. Ever heard of a fate worse than death? She could go through something like that and get out of it alive by the end of the mini-series, but she won't be the same. There can definitely be suspense with something like that, among other emotions too I'm sure.

What you're implying doesn't really work for Michonne's character. She goes through some traumatic events in the comics both before and after meeting Rick and company but that's the problem. For anyone who has read the comics, we're pretty aware of how/why Michonne grew so hardened, and unless Telltale is just going to retell it or inflate her tragic past more, there really isn't any story to be told here.
And I gotta agree that there can't be any suspense, we're all well aware of her role later so if Telltale tries to put her in any danger it just won't work because unfortunately we know she lives with all her limbs intact.

I'm excited. But I would've preferred a DLC about Paul "Jesus" Monroe, who we know next to nothing about.

I really miss Lilly. I would've LOVED it if my adventure continued on with her instead of Kenny. I hope they bring her back soon.
I'm a bit tired of TWD in general (expecially after the 2nd season that was... meh). I mean, I'm ok with season 3 but was this DLC really necessary?
Yes.
I could live without it. But I'll still play it. Who knows. It might be fucking amazing.
Governor or rick Dlc I would of loved I'm not a fan of michonne I think she is a dull character imo bad choice
Ok then.
Nope
