Just when I thought I was over the Episode 5, I started listen to credits song, read Wolf's fanfic, admire Rhys('s gifs), translating the pa… morert with Rhysha (ugh) and Rhyiona and all the feels came back. The end of Tales hit me harder than LIS's. This is too much.
So guise I wrote something and I know it's bad but I wanted to do show you all so here is how I wished the scene before the intro went down.… more I know it doesn't really make sense in-game but I thought it would be fun to imagine something different. Keep in mind this is the same setting Loaderbot and Rhys/Fiona were in on Helios. Thanks for reading!
Fiona ran quickly behind Rhys looking for an escape pod to flee the rapidly decomposing moon base.
"Fiona, stop wait," Rhys begins. They pull over to the side under a monitor displaying an emergency message. The "Who took the caravan?"
Fiona puts her hands on her hips while standing in front him. "Kroger, Finch, and August stole the beacon from us and took Gortys and Sash-"
"Fi, watch out!" Rhys grabs her waist through her arms and pulls her out of the way of a Hyperion-issued employee cart speeding to an escape pod. The force of the robotic arm pulled them both off balance and Rhys hits … [view original content]
He doesn't know what he's doing until it's already over.
It's not until they have money -- the kind that you think will let you live the … morerest of your life without worrying again -- that he realises that it really doesn't help them with the little things.
The desert is still a desert and no amount of coins is going to teleport them to the end of it and, when they do get across, he thinks he's never felt so exhausted before.
It's a little ridiculous; Rhys can pride himself in having survived situations most of his ex-coworkers would've succumbed to long ago but he's irrationally more scared of dehydration than he ever was of a vault monster. Maybe it's because not everyone is there but he can't bring himself to pretend he's not enjoying the company no matter how much he tries.
