Some lady on a notoriously trivial UN committee wrote a report that criticizes pornographic depictions of children in anime and calls on Japan to censor it.
Therefore:
"The UN cares more about censoring anime than it cares about ISIS and starving children!!!"
Talk about jumping to conclusions, Evel Knievl couldn't make that leap. Pure hyperbole and confirmation bias.

Hello people who read my occasional comments or random comment readers that decided to read this. Yesterday i watched the walking dead in an episode focused on the philosophy and martial art of Aikido ("The art of peace") which is basically entails (entails?) 'All life is precious' as it deflects attacks in a way that does not bring harm to the attacker. It is known by many as combat mercy. But my point is that it made me think about morality in modern fiction in general. And i think i have found a common overall morality in said fictional worlds. I would like to share and discuss my findings with anyone that is interested. ILL go one by one first off GOT. Beware GOT TV Series spoilers for HUGE DEATHS ahead.
Game Of Thrones (Tv Series): It is a very weird thing. Killing in Game of Thrones is a thing that every character eventually accepts they must do. However a lot of characters like Tyrion and Ned Stark openly try to avoid killing. Robb even makes sparing the enemy soldiers a priority during his war. But surprisingly unlike a lot of other series including the Walking Dead the world of ice and fire doesn't ever punish for mercy. Almost every time mercy is used the character who gave the mercy never sees the one who he/she gave mercy to again. And every time it's punished for it gives no harm or punishment to the user of said mercy but to a person that was close to them. The biggest example i can give of regretable mercy is Aria sparing Geoffrey which if she had not it would have gotten her killed. And like i said above Aria herself never suffers the price for this and Geoffrey never sees her again. Even in telltales GOT game sparing any character never gives anything negative to the person that spared them.
Another HUGE recurring theme i found was that whenever a 'good' character did something morally wrong they would die that same season if not the same episode or pay HORRIBLY for it. Ned Stark moments before his execution lies to save his life for his family forever breaking his honor and dignity as an honest man in his own eyes and those few who knew the truth , then he dies because of it. Robb breaks his oath to marry a daughter of Walder Frey's due to love and then kills the Karstark general despite mercy being an open option. Few episodes later, dead. Jon Snow kills Janos Slynt for disobeying orders after he begs for mercy. The same happens to him as he begs olly to spare his life. However any 'evil' character almost NEVER pays for the reason he should have. Geoffrey kills Ned and tortures and murders millions for justice. The reason for his murder: Power struggle. Tywin Lannister: Killed Millions and commanded the red wedding. Reason for his murder: Revenge from his tortured son.
If it's just about a pornographic genre then I really don't see the big deal (will be for those into it but I tend to stay away from that stuff). Now if they were to try to ban anime and manga entirely then we got a problem. Cartoons/Comics and Anime/Manga are basically the same thing just with some slight differences. But anyway, this subject is not really an issue for me.

Well, CISA has passed the Senate, with a large, bipartisan majority. Once again, Republicans and Democrats united to incrementally chip away at our civil liberties. If you live in America, there's a good chance that at least one of your state's senators has voted to sell out your privacy and there's an even better chance that your house representative will do so as well.
What I don't get is this: when CISPA was introduced in 2013, people went nuts and it was overwhelmingly shot don't. Now CISA, which is almost the exact same thing, has passed with no challenge and barely any media coverage. What gives?
It should also come as no surprise that Comcast and other mega-corporate scum are overwhelmingly in favor.

Putting my old stuff in boxes now for whenever we move out, I actually enjoy it. It brings nostalgia when I go through my old stuff. I actually found two old school projects I've done long ago in my art classes that I think I should share eventually. One is my very first comic/manga, and another is a mask I made.
