About to "Sneak up" on us eh? Alright Job. *Puts on Michonne fan club hat, Optimizes PC for best playing experience, reinstalls TWD Season 2, Gets a glass of ice water, and has box of tissues in case of feels"
November 17th is not only unlikely, but impossible. Telltale have never released two Episodes in one day, and they'd definitley hype Michonne up more, not just 1-2 weeks before release. My guess is December 15th, with a lot of luck maybe December 8th.
Job Stauffer (one of Telltale's PR staff members) said to expect news later this month. Typically, Telltale gives news about an episode a we… moreek or two before release. Series premieres work a little differently, but that changes depending on each game. If I had to take a guess (I am only a volunteer with no inside info), I'd assume to expect either news/teasers or a trailer sometime towards the middle or end of this month. Fall ends on December 21st, so the latest the game can premiere while still being in "Late Fall" would be December 15th or any other Tuesday before that. It's obviously not coming out this Tuesday on November 10th, so possible dates are:
* November 17th (not happening here - Game of Thrones Season Finale releases)
* November 24th (not happening here - Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 3 has been hinted to release on this week)
* December 1st (somewhat likely)
* December 8th (likely)
* December 15th (likely; also last possible date before fall ends)
...why are they bragging about how short it will be? It's like he's saying, "Hey guys guess what! Michonne won't be longer than any Twdg episode made before! Isn't that awesome?"
Being able to sit down and play it through in one sitting is fine and all, and I suppose it adds to the emotional experience to play it like that, rather than pausing and coming back later. Perhaps the majority of TT's players play the games in one sitting...but don't a lot of players also just use the "pause" button?
I don't know. I'd prefer longer episodes rather than shorter ones, and more content over less content, even if I don't have the time to play through an entire episode in one sitting.
That is very much correct; I was forgetting about Thrones when I typed that. And, with Job hinting Minecraft Ep 3 comes out in November as well, that really only leaves December.

They are coming from a place where they want their games to resemble TV Episodes and cinema ever since Walking Dead made their cinematic games successful and validated their goal to make their games accessible on a larger level. I totally agree with you in that I want longer episodes and I also find it weird that they promote shorter length as a selling point, but I don't think people would mind as much if they had quicker and consistent releases. This isn't really a criticism of Telltale as they put their longer releases to good use by polishing episodes and listening to feedback, but my point is that if they want their episodes to resemble TV in presentation and length, they also need to make it resemble TV in its release schedule if they want people to accept arbitrarily shortened episodes. With things as they are, I don't think a one sitting, TV-like experience is as easy of a sell if episodes are bi-monthly on average. I think it would be a much easier pill to swallow if we had something like bi-weekly (or tri-weekly) 90 minute episodes. It sounds a little extreme, but that's the point. Otherwise, we aren't really getting a lot of benefits from such short episodes if they aren't following through in other ways to make it feel more like TV.

So, basically, an early to mid December release is all-but-confirmed. It can't be during or after December 22nd (Fall ends on December 21st), and late November is occupied by Game of Thrones Episode 6 and Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 3.
Seriously? MC:SM Episode 3 this month? What's this sourcery? Why do they release an episode very soon instead of 2 months later? Yes, I know Minecraft animation is easier than the ones from other games.

I guess Im the only one who doesnt think its nonsense. I work and its hard to find sit down time to play. I dont want four hour episodes that I wont finish.

Yes, of course I was exaggerating a bit to make a point. Im just saying I have a different point of view in line with their thinking. I love to spend hours playing games when I can, but those are longer form stories, like rpgs. With episodes, I want to play an episode in one sitting if I can and not have to stop and start. To me, it seems beside the point, but again, thats how I feel. I recognize that Im in the minority here.
Michonne is shown to return to Rick's group on a ship in the comics, but could one of the ships she's on sink? Could the cause of the ship sinking be "loose lips" or some character in the mini series letting some secret get out, or someone betraying Michonne?

Sorry, I think you missenterpreted me. I know that Glenn and Hershel are dead. I was just saying that they make cameos in episode 1 of season 1 of the game, meaning that the game and comics are loosely connected.

Bring it on.

Fresh, brutal, and it's about to sneak up on you... Be ready!
o_o......
[slowly looks behind her.]
[>д<] help.
Still don't know if I'm gonna be playing this but my interest is definitely rising.
I like how "Fresh, brutal, and it's about to sneak up on you." also describes a walker.
It's the bite going to your brain...
One of us. One of is. One of us.
Crap... I'm infected, aren't I?
YAY!
News! ;D
This can only mean one thing.
It'll be here......
I guess Im the only one who doesnt think its nonsense. I work and its hard to find sit down time to play. I dont want four hour episodes that I wont finish.
They are cranking out the Minecrafts, arent they?
Im seriously getting more and more excited. I just hope it eases up a little on the WD universe being so endlessly depressing. Just a bit.

"Fresh" might be up for debate with that statement.
I suppose.
Well, it's hard to think of a rotting corpse as "fresh" is all I'm saying. :P
Could this mean something?
"Loose lips sink ships. Pun intended."
Michonne is shown to return to Rick's group on a ship in the comics, but could one of the ships she's on sink? Could the cause of the ship sinking be "loose lips" or some character in the mini series letting some secret get out, or someone betraying Michonne?
Minecraft assets are easier to animate.
And since the evironments are just single blocks put together with texture changes.
Hope it will be finished soon so Telltale should focus on TWD S3
Development "Minecraft" does not affect the development of Third Season.
What?
Minecraft and The Walking Dead are being worked on by 2 different development teams. So the progress of one doesn't effect the other.
Sorry, I think you missenterpreted me. I know that Glenn and Hershel are dead. I was just saying that they make cameos in episode 1 of season 1 of the game, meaning that the game and comics are loosely connected.
Ohhh I see now. I thought you meant that Glenn and Hershel would make cameos in Michonne.
would rather they just worked hard on the 3rd Season with Clementine
Something else or nothing at all. Season 3 could come out next year either way which is even now a likely release date.
Well... 2017 is also an option, you're correct. If potential delay means that overall quality of the game will be improved then it's fine by me too.
When is this coming out? It's almost December. Since Tales has ended I got nothing worthy to play.
December is pretty much 100% confirmed, since Thrones is next week and Episode 3 of Story Mode the following week, so somewhere before December 22nd.
Telltale said that it'll be released later this year so December it is, probably.

Oh shit, I always think of the calendar based seasons, I thought it'd come out before Dec. But well.. then let's hope for December 1st
