Episode 6 Gwyn Choice
Let me start off by saying that when playing these episodes I always gotta have multiple playthroughs. I have one with Asher living and one with Rodrik. I wanted to make one last one where I (as Asher) tried to seek peace by marrying Gwyn. I planned on having the posion plan, but called it off after having a heartwarming discussion with Gwyn. So I call it off and am waiting in anticipation for a potential different ending, and what happens? Elissa completely loses it and cuts Ludds face with a knife! Up till this point I thoughtI had legit peace and when Elissa asked how I could marry Gwyn I just told her I wanted the killing to stop. But no, she just had to lose it!
I have to admit though I'm very intrigued with how Gywn handles this. Instead of stabbing me when we ambushed Ludd, she actually kills a Bolton soldier trying to kill Asher. On top of that, in this specific play though she was with Talia at the lumber site and the two of them saved me. Gwyn says something to the affect of I know you tried, and we will overcome this together.
I just wish we could've had a legitimate option to reached peace instead of teasing it and giving us the same ending every time.

Yh, honestly I think this is the best outcome!
It's completely unreasonable that a woman who has lost her husband, two sons, had a another son kidnapped and repeatedly threatened in front of her lost control in a tense situation. I am outraged.
Though in all seriousness, how would they reconcile such wildly different fates? And then what, there would be no big final battle? All of that cut from the play through for a nice, peaceful wedding, with Asher basically doomed?
Huh?
Gwyn always wanted peace and if she sees that you want it too than she betrays her own House to work towards peace. Not to mention that she genuinely loves Asher.
A lot of those against Gwyn assumed she was lying/tricking them when she never lied and there were no tricks.
Pretty sad so few actually tried to save the House with Gwyn.
It is true. Gwyn is not the most favorable character, not many people believe in her peacefull intentions.
But we in this together - I am also from 15.7% of players, who ended season with her. I hope Gwyn will play a big role, when she is teamed up with Asher.
Edit: 12.4% now. We will be really unique, if the number keep dropping.
Actually I like Gywn a lot , I think she is the most beautiful girl in this series lol . But when I ( Asher ) killed his father with poison , she stabbed him lol She stabbed my Asher !! Gosh this is unforgivable !!!!!! My Asher ~~~~
It ia sad, but reasonable. She hoped everything would go as planned, but it did not. Her father was poisoned and the current Lord acted like it was supposed to happen, so it makes sense that her father is more valueable for her then future husband.
You guyz mean Ludd can be killed in GoTs1???
Tbh Elaena looks more pretty than Gwyn...my thoughts...
Yes, he can be killed in Episode 6. You can ambush him as Rodrik or poison his wine as Asher.
M curious, what then? Gryf leads the WH army then, ri8?
Are you kidding me? Her whole house is trying to kill the forresters. 4 forresters are dead because of them. Id rather watch my whole house fall by trying to kill as many whitehills as I can.
Her thinking that we can have peace is not realistic. To many people have died and the only way to end this is by killing of one of the houses. The only reason I would consider marrying gwyn is just to have her family thnk we were at peace and than ambush them.
Yes, if Ludd is dead, Gryff will lead the invasion to Ironrath.
I did just like you, but i didn't hope for another ending, 'cause it just wouldn't make sense. I was really surprised she killed that guard. And, after that final scene I really hope for the Second Season.
Elaena is beautiful too ~ I like her ! But I kinda like the style of Gwyn more lol Tough girl ! But both of them are pretty
And if Gywn didnt stab Asher , he could kill Gryff that bastard too lol Sigh ~ Why Gwyn why ~ ~~~
She is a woman of peace, imo. Her father was killed and now her brother has a risk to die too. Would she save him? She could actually saved her brother and she did that.
Imagine - if Gryff being killed, there would be only Harys to command the army. Kill him - and there is a lot of people without a leader to command them how to attack, who to attack and when to retreat. It can be good and bad as well.
Well you've got the point ! ( Thumps up ) But if I were Gwyn , I think i couldnt stab Asher, after all he is her ex lover and future husband ~! I think i will push him away instead or something , i just couldnt hurt my charming Asher T....T ( just my opinion lol Sorry can't get the Asher grin out of my head )
Pretty rich of her to keep whining about how hard she's worked for peace, the results have been pretty shitty. The Whitehills have been cutting down family, Iron Wood, and smallfolk alike, without a modicum of shame. And we're supposed to set down our arms and be slaves for the rest of our lives because...she kept Ryon from being smacked around more (he still looks a mess)? What power does she think she's going to magically acquire upon marriage? Gryff listens to her even less than Ludd does, once he's Lord, he'll probably murder the rest of the Forrester family out of spite.
The fact she shanks Asher in the back for avenging his family with minimal bloodshed, to save Gryff who's committed countless atrocities against my house, tells me all I need to know about her loyalties.
Gwyn was driven by anger so she just couldn't not push him or oush would not be the way to stop Asher's sword swing to Gryff.
But I like your way of interrupting Asher - at least he could be in better condition without this wound
I'm debating on replaying to get Gwyn at the end of my game, I was thinking about calling off the plan but I figured everything would go to shit anyway so might as well stick with it. But seeing that Gwyn legitimently wanted to be married and have peace makes me want to have her on my side in season 2
After looking at everything the best ending for Asher is siding with Gwyn. The best option for Rodrick is to send Elaena away.
Haha ur Profile pic xD
What about it ;-;
All season i listened to her and did what she said to make peace. And what did i get? Humiliation and death. She's was wrong all of the time. There can't be peace, its us or them. And what is most funny thing is that, she probably going to be killed by her own father if she betrayed the house.
u look like a homeless dude haha xD
If she wants to be with my Asher then her family has to die... So when he asked me if her brother and father would be safe...
I let her know Silence is a valid muthaphuckin option (thug life music plays)
I agreed with Ortengryn, Ludd's terms were actually pretty damn generous, so I worked towards that end when I could. It caught me off guard when Elissa went full on pyscho for a second screwing up everything and again when Gwyn turned into a Knife wielding super soldier, but it was pretty cool.
It is clear that peace is impossible with the Whitehill. The Whitehill is not human, they are scum. And as such, they must be eradicated. Every last Whitehill must be destroyed so that the Whitehill plague will be forever eradicated in Westeros. We must show no mercy.
Negotiations are over.
Yay, uniqueness!
Lady Forrester attacking Ludd though made a lot of sense... I mean Rodrik is dead and Ryon is still captured, her husband died a while back, shes not going to want anything to do with them after what they did to their family. Telltale actually gave a sensible reason for the same thing happening this time around.
Hi everyone,
I'm here on behalf of Asher, Gwyn and the 'traitor' of the family.
First, let me point out something the 'monsters' Whitehill didn't do:
They didn't kill Lord Gregor, the Boltons/ Freys did.
They didn't kill Lord Ethan, Ramsay did.
They killed Lord Rodrik as the term Ramsay, the boss to both families proposed and once it's over, they came to IronRath with no killing intentions.
They didn't want to keep Ryon forever, after the surrender of the Forresters and the join force of two houses by wedding, they'll return Ryon.
They didn't want Lord Asher or Lady Elissa or Talia to die.
So why the hatred for them? For something they didn't do, or for killing Rodrik in a competition which rule was set by the heir of the Bolton, Warden of the North?
Second, I'll point out why the 'traitor' still 'betrays' the Forresters or Rodrik to be more specific. In my game play, I chose Duncan as my Setinnel, but I followed every suggestions of Ser Royland as if he was my Setinnel, using forces instead of diplomats: Stood up against Gryff, didn't kiss the ring,... I even took Royland and Arthur to Highpoints, killed Lord Ludd there and Royland got killed in the process along side with Rodrik. But then, despite the fact that he couldn't point out any mistake I made, Ser Royland, who could come to Highpoints and die there with lord of house Forresters, set Gryff freed sothat his lord didn't get ambushed and killed at Highpoints still chose to 'betray' Rodrik. Unlogical, right? No.
Ser Royland accused Rodrik of being weak and destroying many chances to save the family. I think it's completely true. It's not the choices that the players make that destroyed the Forrester family. It the choices we players are unable to make that destroyed Rodrik's family, and it was all done in the same fashion: Some women made the decisions for Rodrik then the chances were gone: Eleana told Rodrik to capture Gryff, then the negotiation to help Lord Ludd with the Iron wood bussiness to trade for Ryon and peace altogether with Arthur's life were gone; Talia told Rodrik to kill the 'traitor', and to satisfy her, Rodrik either killed him or imprisioned him, which means one less best fighter for the Forrester army; and many foolish things Lady Elissa told her child to do to quicken the destruction of their house. Lord Rodrik was like a womanish man who had no power of Lord, he just followed the command of women around him, that's why Ser Royland called him weak twice, that's why Asher was a more suitable lord.
And last, it's about Gwyn and Asher. They were both very smart, they knew that make love, not make war was better than the bloodshed which would cause house
Forrester to fall, the death of innocent Forrester's citizens, and the lost to the Whitehills too. People from Forrester's side scared that Lord Ludd Whitehill 'would' kill Asher once Gwyn was pregnant. Just their imaginations. And even if it were true, there were many solutions: Do not get her pregnant, get on well with Lord Ludd, try to rebuild the relationship two family had ages ago... And Gwyn did tell us that Lord Ludd was afraid of Asher too. So it was just immagination, caution from both side, it could be solved after working along and with true peace intentions from both side.
But Lady Elissa was too blood thirsty to see her son, her Lord to live happily with Gwyn and the Forrester's citizens. She wanted to see blood. And she finally succeded by disobeying the order of her Lord. So, the real criminals who caused the house Forrester to fall was the women: Lady Elissa, Talia, Eleana and the womanish Lord Rodrik. Poor Lord Asher Forrester and Lady Gwyn Whitehill tried to save house Forrester, but they couldn't because of the mad action of Lady Elissa.
Overall, this is a truely master piece, I thank Telltale heartily for the great game, and I'm looking forward for the season 2. And many thanks to everyone in this board for great discussions to make me relive the experience from the game.
I don't care that her intentions are noble, she can't change the fact that her family are a bunch of power-hungry lunatics, who'd wish nothing more than to see us all butchered and enslaved. She is that one "good" character in a house of shitheads. It's just not worth it. "There will be no more bloodshed..." Yeah, right. "That's all in the past now..." No Gwyn. It's just in the past as it is in the presence and all the gods in the seven kingdoms curse me if not in the future. Even if Asher agreed, you can't make everyone in our houses agree just as you can't undo history. History of murder, blood and hatred. She is a fool if she believes this and her house will fall because of it. And yes, maybe there would be peace for a time but it would not last. SOMETHING is bound to go wrong and she knows it. She is that final moral obstacle in the destruction of the Whitehills. And we must overcome it.
Sylvi is da best
Sylvi is more beautiful in my eyes
Why would you compare the looks of a girl to a woman?
Could be that the Whitehills are arrogant and treat the Forrestors like dirt and are constantly bullying them. Ludd always has this status that he wants to be on top of everyone and doesn't really seem to have a working or healthy relationship with his family or his house. Why would any house be associated with the Whitehills? They're arrogant savages who aren't fair nor noble.
In my gameplay I endend with her.I hope telltale make these two marry in the end
That's not really him...
In my first play through, I had the ending with Gwyn, but when the choices said I betrayed my family, I felt bad doing that so I decided to poison my mum and Ludd on my other file
