I disagree. If you want to play as an adult male, the vast majority of games can accommodate you. Why does every game have to be the same boring choice?

I just switched from PS3 to Xbox One, got the TTG collection, convenient Black Friday is convenient, and I replayed GoT and TWD S1 so far.
… more S1 was awesome. Then I played the first episode of S2.
It was the most boring-est shit I've ever played. I'd rather watch The Room, Birdemic, and Dragon Ball Evolution back-to-back then play that again.
I made the decision to skip right to No Going Back, after being bored even longer of bland characters and horrible logic, i am ready to put Clem in the past. Replaying S1 again, you don't really get to know her that much depending on your choices, and just like in S2, she's just sort of there. Like Nick and Ben. When they actually say something, it's usually bland or cliché TTG choices. I prefer "..." because even that's more interesting.
Either way, S3, I'll still play it regardless of tthe PC. I just hope it has better written dialogue and plot.
Tommy Wiseau as Johnny is more interesting than Clementine.
I don't know, maybe people that are just bored as all hell of playing yet another male protagonist
God forbid the games industry actually tries to do something interesting that isn't part of the same cookie-cutter formula that works for everything else
I disagree. I actually think her personality is fitting. She's lost so much, it's a wonder she's still sane. I think she hides her true emotions/feelings, or maybe she's just losing them. She didn't cry, or lose her shit, when any of the Cabin Group members died. Not even Luke.
I really like Clem. She is one of the best characters.
But playing as Clem was bad. I can't attached to Clem because she is too young (and women). I haven't got enough freedom in my choices. I felt I was only a spectator in the game until the others turned to me for help. Then still I haven't got choice I had to do what they said. Season 2 is much worse than Season 1.
I don't want to play as Clementine again. But I want her to be in Season 3.
Playing as Kenny would be a good choice. Of course I know it isn't possible because a lot of players killed him (What barbarians could do such a thing?)
No..... The players were building Lee up and got the rug pulled out from underneath them. Hard core clem fans on are on the board but I doubt most gamer's agree with you.
She's fine as the protagonist. We've been building her up since S1. TT knew people would have a problem with this, but they like to do interesting and different ideas, so far it's worked out pretty awesome.
She's still around because she is TWDG. Lee was the protagonist in S1, sure. But Clem was the focus. W/o her, S1 wouldn't have been that good imo. It would have just been about him getting people to trust him after what he did, and then watching those people die.
No. This was expected. S1, we trained the girl and it ended with players essentially controlling Clem. The cliffhanger at the end was also a dead give away. People may disagree with me and that's fine, but I doubt it's the majority.

Oh get real! Are you telling me that before Lee got bit you had any idea that Clementine was the actual main protagonist for the game, and that you would play her season 2? Yeah the cliffhanger at the end was the give away which is why I said "rug pulled out from underneath them" because I doubt most people knew Lee was going to die, and Clem was the main. Doubt it's the majority? The vast majority of gamers are teenage guys, and grown men. What percentage of men do you think like playing a little girl!? I liked the game ok but if I had the choice of playing Kenny, Jane, Luke, Lilly or any other adult I'd have chosen to play as them.

Well it wouldn't be "rug pulled" if it was something implied at the end of S1. That's just the way the story happens. Lee was going to die when he was bit in ep. 4. After we beat the game, it's easy to figure Clem to be the main character in S2. That's what I meant. It seems this was all Telltale's plan from the begginning.

It was rug pulled because you thought you were playing the protagonist through almost all of season 1. Are you saying that it wasn't a surprise? Did you know Clementine was the main character before Lee was bitten?

I'm referring to after he got bitten. Y'know episode 4, the wait for episode 5, episode 5, and the year wait for S2. What I have been trying to tell you in my post without going inot crazy detail. No rug pulling, there's proper build up to this change of PC in S1. Just wasn't obvious till ep. 4.

Well if I were you I wouldn't play anymore of it because you will be disappointed! It get's worse in terms of storyline and the characters are poorly written and disinteresting. It's just terrible compared to Season1. They got a new writers for Season2.
That's what happens when they make a child the main PC, if they make it realistic then she won't do much at all which is annoying because then you're not controlling anything, but if they do let the her do everything then it's unrealistic and just looks stupid.
If they used an adult however then you can do plenty of stuff and it won't look dumb.
Clementine is an awesome character, don't get me wrong. I was just irritated that the adults were so incompetent that they relied on an eleven year old girl to make all of the important decisions. Totally unrealistic.
The fact that people actually feel the need to rant about this crap knowing that it's been said a millions times before in other threads and threads of their own, makes me hurl. Seriously, we get it now.
I can't attached to Clem because she is too young (and women)
Gender shouldn't be an issue. I've played games with guys as the protagonist and enjoyed them. The only time I don't like playing as a guy are usually online co-op games where they give the option on who you want to play as while you go kick the other team's butt, or ones where you custom make your own character.
That said, I don't think they did a good job with Clem in Season 2 in making her a relatable character. As the episodes went along she just became an avatar for the player to interact with everybody
Why do people who like the Clementine, click "liked" I do not understand. 19 love it, and there are users who love Clementine, why do you press you love?
I'm guessing the people who liked it do not love clementine, you need to understand many people do not love clementine or even not like her all that much

You are wrong. Some people who responded that they love Clementine! And still made love. Most people like the Clementine, this forum just weird, that's all.

if she was made more realistic and behave at least little like children of her age and if other characters could do anything without relaying on her, playing as fruit could maybe be funny

You know, whether probably learned their lesson, Season 3 will probably be more realistic. But Clementine was not to blame, Telltale made it. Stop to point fingers 11 year old girl ...

I liked playing as Clem overall, but the OP does make some salient points. She does have a deadpan expression for most of her dealings with … morethe adults, but she does show a more emotional, scarred side every now and then. With Lee, dealing with zombies was a matter of will; Lee didn't want the zombies near Clem, and he had the physical ability to accomplish that.
I felt like a badass playing as him, but I appreciated that playing as Clem forced me to play differently, more cleverly. She couldn't just shove her way through a horde; she only really came close in the opening minutes of episode 1, and even that was barely accomplished with a distraction. And I liked that. And having a sister about the same age as Clem (when the season came out), I really felt like her responses were in the realm of possibility of an 11 year old. She felt like a kid.
For me looking back, the main problem wasn't really with Clem, it was the fact she didn't hav… [view original content]

Because they're the successful ones.
Who would want to play as a little girl? AGAIN
I know right!
I hope we don't get her in S3, the only reason she's still around is because of her cuteness that her girly fans demand.
I don't know, maybe people that are just bored as all hell of playing yet another male protagonist

Much better.
Great, glad we could get that sorted out.
im not too sure how bad playing as clem is as i have finished season 1 and started episode 1 of season 2 as i got the series for free on ps plus

Yup, I got that.
That's why I didn't care or feel anything when playing as her because she didn't care about anyone dying.

super agree with you
Shes just a collection of pixels, i think our opinion of her doesnt really matter, her feelings will not be hurt
Still, it is based on a little girl. So it's distressing to hear that.
Distressing to hear what?
Talk like the character based on the little girl.
But what was distressing to hear?
