So this pretty much confirms season 3 will be taking place much later because they said that we will want to play the mini series before s3... and mini series takes place much later after s2 in the game.
2016 already has several games from Telltale coming. On top of Super Show and Michonne, Job Stauffer hinted we might also get Game of Thrones: Season 2 in 2016 as well. I am not Telltale staff - only a volunteer Moderator, but I predict that Season 3 will start in 2017.
Michonne was meant to give Walking Dead fans something to play while they waited for Season 3.
