I imagine they removed hubs not because of some minority of players ignoring them, but because they want their newer titles to resemble cinema more than they do adventure games. It's likely for the same reason they removed puzzles, special ways of roleplaying and interacting with the environment (like the radio in Walking Dead 101 or the shooting sequences in a few Season 1 episodes), and even went off the mindset that people liked 90 minute episodes and tried to push short games as a selling point.
The current format is alright, but I was hoping that they would revise some of the template a little more for each specific franchise (such as giving Wolf Among Us some extra interactivity for investigating crime scenes or more scenes with interrogating people). However, they go off the mindset that extensive amounts of interactivity will potentially alienate people who aren't gamers but want to play Telltale's titles for their stories. Again, as much as I like their games, I think they could benefit from having more faith in the ingenuity of their casual non-gamer audience and/or experimenting with a casual play style and an adventure play style.

You know what I find disheartening about watching playthroughs of this game? When people don't really talk t… moreo anyone, or just straight up ignore the hub sections. Yes, I know they're optional and that sometimes you are so engrossed in the story you don't want to stop and talk to people. But at the same time, there's so much character depth and insight you get from all of those small conversations.
Which got me thinking; did this have anything to do with the removal/streamlining of the hub elements in their newer games? Maybe Telltale got the wrong idea by thinking people didn't like hubs all that much because they didn't talk to characters all that much. Cross posting from the Game of Thrones Season 2 waiting thread: I just thought of something interesting - assuming that Super Show and Game of Thrones: Season 2 premiere later in 2016 and continue into 2017, 2017 could be a huge year for Telltale.

The change from Season 1 to Season 2 was mostly because they changed writers, not because they were working on more games at once. Likewise,… more things like the removal of hubs, shorter episodes, etc were deliberate changes by Telltale to make their games more cinematic, and they've since gone back to making longer episodes for Borderlands, Game of Thrones, etc. Telltale was much smaller in size when they made Season 1 (probably around 90 people, and not all were working on Walking Dead - some had been working on other projects), and now they are at 300+ people.
People nowadays say it's bad for Telltale to announce so many projects, but even around the time Telltale announced Season 1 of Walking Dead and only had like 90 people, they had even then had several projects in the works, like Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Law and Order, Walking Dead Season 1, Wolf Among Us, King's Quest (cancelled for Season 2 of Walking Dead), Puzzle Agent 2, and Hector.

The Walking Dead games can not take place ahead of the time that has passed in the comic books. From what I hear, only a few years have passed in the comic. Even if Clementine gets older, she would not be 16+. She would probably be 13 or 14.

Liking a character for being innocent is OK, but it's a little off putting for you to panic about that character growing up when other people are only talking about the game. It's not a bad thing for a character to grow up - it actually develops their personality.
I mean no offense by that. However, most people are fine with Clementine becoming an older character so it is random when someone worries about her not being an innocent character any more.

We know that Supershows 1 and 2 are in development along with GOT: S2 and TWD: S3; all of which do not have an official release date or year for that matter. Along with that, one of the supershows will consist of an original IP that will co-created/assisted by Lions Gate Entertainment.
The only game left that has been indirectly teased by TellTale's PR team is TWAU which has no confirmation for a second season but has been said numerous times that fans request for a second season.

They said they wouldn't play a major roll, not that they wouldn't appear.
No, they said that DLC won't be connected in any way with previous seasons. I think that's basicly means that there won't be any old characters.
