I am pumped for this! I love that we get a game headed by a woman of color who is completely strong, smart and a capable warrior. The teaser looks good.
For people complaining that Clementine was too young to do anything, this should be up their alley.
Whatt? I was so hyped for this coming out in December at the latest, why didn't they say anything about pushing it off until next year? I totally missed the livestream, but I'm not even mad, I don't care about that now. February? Man, february?
Personally I hope they're not released closer together than usual. One of my favorite things about these forums is different people looking at the little details in games, and trying to predict what will happen next (that's really why I initially joined these forums.) Less time between episodes would mean less time to speculate, so I'd be bummed about that. Plus, it'd be like your favorite show's runtime got cut in half, while they showed the same number of episodes. It'd be nice while it lasted, and twice as intense, but then you have new episodes for only half the time!
So, anyone else thinks these episodes will be released closer to each other than we're used to from Telltale? It's just the word "event" tha… moret makes me think so. Idk, I just got this feeling. It'd also explain why it got delayed, maybe they are working on all episodes at once?
Yeah, to me it almost sounded like all episodes would be released at once, or at least very close together. Maybe the seemingly late release date is so they can release all episodes at once.

on the plus side, it seems TT can make 3.5 series a year now... (Michonne, TWD3, Batman and GOT2). I don't care about GOT, but at least this means I'll have about 3 chances a year for TFTB2 to come out!

I do hope everyone will realize how different she is than Clem or Lee, though. I'm sure playing as her will be more interesting with Walkers and even people.
Okay so I have a question but I didn't want to make a whole thread about this...
I haven't read the comic books (hides)
I really want to play this game I love michonne in the TV series but I want to be able to follow the story (same reason why I don't play GOT because I've never seen it whispers don't judge me) and I feel if I don't know what happened beforehand I'll not be able to follow it??
And some people say making more than one game don't affect the other. They said: Later this year. Now, it's for February. Yeah.
No offense for those who liked the game and the original, but Minecraft is shit compared to TWD, GoT, and now, Batman. Of course, it's my opinion, and I respect those with a different opinion.
It's fun reading Youtube comments with people saying "Where's Season 3?" or "What happened to Clem?" or "Is this Season 3?" Seriously people, is this the first time you're hearing about this or hearing about the character Michonne, come on. Seriously, I think I read a comment where someone asked if Michonne was an older Clementine, I'm not even joking.

I was reading some of the com… morements on the Telltale's official Walking Dead game Facebook page and there where several comments saying the same thing.
I saw one comment saying "who is Michonne" and when someone asked them if they watched the show or read the comics they said no, I think there are some game fans who only know the game and don't read the comics or watch the show which might explain why some people don't instantly recognise Michonne.
And some people say making more than one game don't affect the other. They said: Later this year. Now, it's for February. Yeah.
It wasn't confirmed that multiple games was the cause of this. Job said they held back the episodes to tighten them up. EDIT: Actually, it was revealed the delay was to allow for quicker episode releases placed closer together.
Also, considering you basically pulled that out of the blue, it seems a bit unnecessary to bring Minecraft into this since it's just going to start drama. This post just seems like an excuse to rag on Telltale's Minecraft game.

Seems like the delay was for the game to have a quicker release schedule after all:
So here’s what’s awesome about this:
1) Samira Wiley! If you watch Orange is the New Black, you know why!
2) The game is no longer being called a Miniseries. Looking at where the game is right now, and the epicness and scale of the design and story, “miniseries” was not fitting. As such, the game will NOT require that Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 2 be installed.
3) February release date. We bumped this a TINY bit but this allows the game to get even bigger and better and for all three installments to hit on a tight schedule.
BONUS) It gives us an excuse to spotlight our Michonne products! Hit this up for a Michonne shop with almost everything on sale!
I updated the main post to reflect this. In other words, we might get quick releases for Michonne like what Telltale is currently doing for Minecraft: Story Mode.
I have a question...Does this Michonne mini-series need saves from the original Telltale TWD Seasons?
Because I lost them and I'm really not in the mood to replay both seasons

Telltale could make a Character Index like Game of thrones where it would explain the characters for people who have no idea about anything involving Michonne.

You know what, I'm fine with this. If being a Telltale fan has taught me anything, it's patience. I had two great games to carry me through 2015, and I didn't even realise that it had been so long since Season 2. I honestly didn't really care anymore because Season 2 wasn't exactly a masterpiece, and I kind of lost interest in TWD because I liked (and still do) Tales and GoT better than all TWD games by Telltale.
However, because these two games were so damn good, it kind of restored my faith in TWD. The mini series has actually sparked my interest now, and I look forward to slay some walkers like a boss!
The only thing that really bothers me about all this is Telltale's complete radio silence. Something like this doesn't just randomly jump in your face, it must have been known for months, at least a few weeks. Why not just tell the fans? I also don't even want to know how many people bought Season 2 just because they thought they had to, and I don't know many people who'd willingly pay money for it. I know, that's business, but it was a really low move to not just tell people that they didn't require Season 2.
So I don't need a season 1 or 2 save file means our choices from those games aren't going to have an effect? That is what they're saying right? Or having I just got confused again after seeing so many new comments?

February will be here in no time. Faster than I would like actually lol
Im okay with it. Clearly its not tv show Michonne since she only had one son and not two daughters.

Yeah, Job saying "but shifting just a few weeks will make for a tighter 3 episode series" makes it sound like they are releasing the episodes closer together.

And that someone is 2 steps above this cmnt
Where do i discuss Batman thingy? Any new community?
There is no forum for it yet but you can discuss the game in this thread.
Thx OZ
You mods hyped too..ri8? U're humans aftrall

If that's the case then I'm fine with waiting if it means new episode month after month,
I am so fucking stoked for this.

Yeah. To be honest, I don't know if I should consider this comments to be funny or worrying.
I was reading some of the comments on the Telltale's official Walking Dead game Facebook page and there where several comments saying the same thing.
Mixture of both, but leaning towards the worrying side.
Do these people really not know who Michonne is? Even if they don't read the comics or watch the show, it's named "The Walking Dead: MICHONNE."

It's going to be a totally separate story so it won't need any save files from previous games.
Cool! Because I don't really want to replay the original games now. Maybe when a trailer for the third season comes this way!
Okay I'm happy now.

One big way to solve this is to include a nice PDF of her backstory, perhaps?
I just say that she's Clementine :^)
Telltale could make a Character Index like Game of thrones where it would explain the characters for people who have no idea about anything involving Michonne.
Thread: Michonne
Is the Michonne Minigame going to be it's own app for IOS Mobile? Or in the S2 App?
It will be stand alone on all platforms.

Ah that sucks. I feel for you bro.
They have said the Michonne game will be a separate story so i doubt it will require save files from seasons 1&2.
Tell your grandmother she rocks.
