you just don't get it, do you? I'll explain it. Kirkman holds the rights about EVERYTHING that has to do with the walking dead and as this game takes place in HIS universe, he can basically say what happens in the game. He probably won't do that, because most characters are not part of his original ones, but he wouldn't want the game to take place in the future because he might include something in his work that would result in the game not making sense anymore. He wan't the game to fit in with what he created and so the game makers can't do anything against what he wants.
So .... it is quite unlikely, that the next season will take place in the future (original universe speaking), so they will probably not age Clem very much. Is that easier for you to understand?

That's not entirely true. The story of the game actually does have input by the creator of the comic. Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead, revealed in his 2014 Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session that he works directly with Telltale to make sure that the story and characters in Telltale's game stays true to the greater universe of The Walking Dead.
This is especially true in that the writers of both seasons of Telltale's The Walking Dead went to Robert Kirkman first, where he gave them story notes to make sure that they avoid contradicting events in the comic universe.
Telltale always works with the original creators of the franchises they license, which is why they are so good at making their games feel like part of whatever universe in which they are currently working.

No. Look Clementine and Lee and Kenny are part of the Comic Universe, but they are involved in a storyline separate to Rick and his group.
Everything that happened to Rick in the comics happened in the game, but we didn't see it because we focussed on different characters. Everything that happened to Clem, Lee, and Kenny happened in the comics, but we didn't see it because the comics only focus on Rick's group. Okay?
Just like how you read a book and one POV is in the south of America and the other POV is in the north. Same universe but different characters.
I don't think they should keep doing time skips all the time unless it's necessary for the plot to go along, if they skip two years for Season 3, that's allot of lost possibilities, especially when you take into account how Season 2 was only the course of a few days and Season 1 was only the course of a few months into the Apocalypse.

So what happens to the guys who kept on living with Jane or Kenny? I highly doubt they will be killed offscreen, or just give some silly explanation how they lost each other or something. Would also be a waste to kill either character after the huge decision in Season Two.
If its going to be clementine raising aj then shit's about to get really freaking bad.
Imagine them escaping on a big herd of walkers. Then the baby cries attracting walkers and threats etc.
Oh and uh... Just a little theory of christa. She might show up on the dlc since we never really see her character development clearly on season 2 so yah.
Even so, Season 3 could start anew with a different protagonist and we could revert back to Clementine as protagonist (or at least as a majo… morer character/deuteragonist) in Season 4. I'm sure that by then, there'll have been enough time elapsed for us to plausibly see her as a girl around Sarah's age.
No... they can timeskip to Clem being 14 i think you guys are forgetting this may not be released by 2015/2016 and by then she could be 14.
So they could timeskip 3 years by the time Season 3 starts

Telltale always works wit… [view original content]
No. The comic is only 4 years into the apocalypse, and Robert Kirkman likes to have the spin-offs stay within the timeline of the comic. That means that Clementine will likely be 13 or 14 at most, since she just turned 9 six days before the fifth episode of the first season, which is about 105 days into the apocalypse, and she's 11 at the end of season two (which is about 869 days, or roughly two and a half years, into the apocalypse).
i don't think so ... i think she will be 14 at less. 13-12 ... I think not move more than a few months. Skipping 4 years, is not good. for what? I do not think Clementine will be 14 or more ... I really feel that it will be 12 and a half ...

In addition, may be Season 4, there will be 14. Clementine season three, I think Clementine will be 12. Almost 13.
Clementine can not be more than 14, because of the comics. I do not think that her story ends season 3.

That's why I said that she'll be 13 or 14 at most. Season three might not have any time skip at all, there might be a time skip of a few months, or there might be a time skip of a year and a half or two years. But Clementine won't be over 20, since Telltale can't make a time skip greater than that, since it's really unlikely Robert Kirkman will let them go beyond the timeline of the comics.

I for one am quite intrigued by the idea of playing as an adolescent/teenage Clementine. Seems like a natural progression from playing as an 11 year old child (quite an unconventional protagonist for a zombie apocalypse).
The comics are way further ahead than you think. Clem at the most can be 14 or 15 at this point. The comics had a bit of a time skip pretty recently, so Clem can age a bit. Even if she can't, she'll still be of age to continue raising AJ.
Clem doesn't even exist in the comic anyway, so at any time Kirkman could approve of a 8 year time skip and make her 19. The comics, shows and games are not in the same universe.
well, it matters because what if Kirkman decides to do a nuclear winter storyline where some people/countries launched nukes to wipe out the walkers, and everybody has to start living in bunkers to avoid the radiation and harsh weather, or maybe in a few years the zombie virus will start mutating and zombies start to regenerate but with weird tentacles that replace their lost body parts or whatever,
I'm not so sure The Walking Dead takes place in Raccoon City. And Kirkman already said there's no cure, nor is there anyway to stop the virus. So that plan won't be needed in the comics. Besides, Clem is in no way part of the Comic's storyline, just the same universe. So at anytime RK can approve of a let's say... 10 year time skip. Clem will be 21, and it doesn't interfere with anything in the comics.
i don't think so. Also the moderator of this forum, said Clementine can not be more than 13-14. And he understands that. Clementine did not appear in the comics, but it's in the same world. Apocalypse lasts five years, so if she started from the age of 8, at 13 or 14 of the Apocalypse is over. So ... she will not be more than 13-14. I personally think she ever will be 12.

Actually, let's say something major happened in the comic storyline, like the possible eradication of walkers or I don't know, the return of the military? If the game goes ten years in the future, it could ruin some master plan Robert Kirkman has in store. The guy could have tons of twisted stuff planned, but it needs time.

She's a part of the comic's universe so she exists in the comics, she's just not included in the comic's storyline.

Great stuff necromancer.
I am now confused.
Have there been cameo Clementine appearances in the comics or something?
You went Resident Evil there but yeah I don´t think theres gonna be a big timeskip, maybe a few months but nothing more.

Kirkman would care because it's still part of his creative work. TellTale are making stories in a world he has created. Of course he cares.

You're*
Care to explain why?
I would like to see a 14 year old Clementine. But honestly, I think Season Three is only going to take place maybe like a few months after Season 2.
your is the possessive form of you. Your ideas, house, knees... things that belong to you.
you're is you plus the verb are.
Though old this is what I am talking about. Comics will not be exceeded!!

yes ... but 14 ... not more
The game will take place 100 years in the future and have a dramatic shift in tone, no doubt.
Why can't can't she be 15?
because comic
she will be only 11-14 that it.
