I'm not saying that it was never planned to be a DLC. I'm saying that they must have known for weeks now that it will be stand-alone instead, yet they didn't bother saying anything like 'Hey guys, no Season 2 required' until most people had probably bought it already because they thought the game was only a few days off and they still needed it. And that is pretty close to intentional misdirection to me.
I know, that's business, but it was a really low move to not just tell people that they didn't require Season 2.
It was originally m… moreeant to be a DLC for S2, but they recently decided to make it standalone. It's not intentional misdirection, it's just an unforeseen and unexpected change of plans.
Season 3 is going to be the biggest, it is really intriguing to me. I am glad that we have to look forward, (Miniseries and Season 3) that after ending season 3, I'm depressed. (Unless you will plan Season 4).
They just held back the first episode (and possibly the second one) so that they could release them closer together. This minor delay has virtually no effect on Season 3, just like Minecraft has virtually no effect on Michonne.
I know you're right, its just that ive been expecting TWD Michonne this month, and to hear that it is delayed, it made me kinda bummed. It makes me wonder if TWD season 3 will be released much later.
The story explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Through this three-episode Telltale Games series, players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group... and what brought her back
If you meant an actual location. They haven't mentioned anything yet, but you can get vague hints of the setting from the trailer.
So I take it you never read my comment and just saw Daryl and quickly wrote "different universes!" lol. You do know it's possible to create him for the comics too? Kirkman can create him at any point he feels like and it still be in a different universe to the tv show, so thats what I'm saying.
Still, it's not like any character is really that good enough to want, I think I was semi-drunk when I wrote it. Folk who outright deny characters like this to appear in "their" game universe somehow love characters even worse! They keep bringing Kenny back ffs lol.
They won't do Daryl because the tv show universe is different to the comic book and game universe. Word of God from Robert Kirkman is that the two are separate and won't have a crossover.
Soo correct me if Im wrong- Michonne series will be full standalone from Season 2 (not like DLC) and we'll have to pay for it- but noone knows how much??

The Walking Dead: Michonne was originally announce way back in the summer as a three episode mini-series focusing on the character of Michon… morene from The Walking Dead. Episode 1 was originally planned to be released around now and was a pseudo-DLC as you needed ep 1 of Season 2 downloaded to play it. This past Friday however, at the Game Awards, it was announced that the game was now completely stand-alone from Season 2 and was delayed until February for a "tighter release schedule". This means the wait times between episodes will likely be quite shorter than most telltale games and similar to MC:SM's release schedule. The trailer for the series can be seen at the top of the thread. I hope I could help
The comics are better than the TV-show, trust me. It's a shame that there's more TV show viewers than comic readers, because the comics are pretty f'n good.

Agreed. I watched a few TV show episodes, they were meh, I wasn't really interested, I started reading the comics, now I'm at Issue 20. I'm reading them that fast.

OMG we finally have a trailer... but do you think it will be connected to Season 2 in any way? (here's me hoping for an unlikely Clementine crossover with Michonne)
They said it'd tighten up to game schedule. So if we assume that all three episodes are released by mid April, maybe series 3 will premier in may. Tell tale have expanded so much, recently, that I'd not be surprised if they can now handle 3.5 'sieries' a year. (Hopefully that also means TWAU 2, TFTB 2 and a marvel game in 2017!)

So will this Michonne mini series link to the comic book storyline, the TT 'Clementine' storyline, or both? I've heard different things and i'm pretty confused.

Michonne in the mini-series is the same Michonne from the comics. Whatever will happen in the game actually happens in the comics because it's the same character, same world, same everything. Previous TWD games from Telltale also take place in the same universe as comics but for what I know this storyline won't be connected in any way to Season 1 and 2 storylines. It's seperate story. I think that Telltale stated that this mini-series won't be connected in any way with Season 1 and 2. That probably means, for example, that we won't see any old characters like Molly, Kenny etc.

if they really plan to have a SEASON 4, i wonder what they'll do next. Who knows, Clem might not be playable anymore or maybe her story will end. Or maybe not...

I'm fine with 3 episodes as long as they adjust the price accordingly.
Hopefully the individual episodes are the same price as everything… more previously except for minecraft story mode. Each episode of that game is $10 and the season pass for 40 is too much for a game of that length.

everytime a new telltale game comes out since they decided to have two series go on at the same time this has happend
wolf among us got s… morecrewed over due to walking dead season 2
game of thrones is why tales from the borderlands got delayed so much
mine craft screwed over this dlc
etc.
5$/Episode like usual. Season Pass might be 10$, or maybe they'll do a preorder thing, like 'Order until the game releases and you'll get 5$ off!', and after the game's release it'll be 15$.

10 dollars would be sick, but I don't think they'll go for that big of a discount. They usually have a 10% off discount before release which is about $13.50.

Stupid bull shit stuff happens.
But if it means it'll be a better game, then delay 10 years.

I already knew that.
But it's more fun to place the blame on something entirely unrelated that some people don't like!

I'm starting to think that "[Insert mild inconvenience here] happened because of Minecraft!" is the Telltale Forum's equivalent of "Thanks Obama!" :P
That's what he meant by "you'll be playing more than you think."
Did you know that?
It's likely to end around mid-2016.
But hey, if we're lucky, Season 3 might come out in September?
It's still incredibly glitchy with dialogue cutting off before it even finishes.
Because it's not TV show Michonne.
Sorry about my lack of info, but is there information about when the mini series will take place?
Michlonentine.
"My dog pissed on my floor. Thanks minecraft"

I still say thats Clementine's boat. She found it.

since it is only 3 episodes , i bet it will be half of 25 - 30 bucks
On which platform do you play, I have no problems on PC.
Thank you mate

$15 probably.

Since Season 2 isn't required, I doubt it. Maybe a few references with some characters that had cameos.
if they really plan to have a SEASON 4, i wonder what they'll do next. Who knows, Clem might not be playable anymore or maybe her story will end. Or maybe not...
Hopefully not that expensive, i bet it'll be half the price as the original season. So probably $15?
I was too lazy to look for the information oon the thread. thanks
Michonne will come across a boat with a dead Vernon inside.
I hope at the end of next year we get our Season 3.

Not really. Most of the delays were to change the episode(s) due to fan feedback and give them more polish.

I misinterpreted it, I thought he meant we'd be playing more than 1 episode in 2015.
i hope too ... i just want Clem
