Actually, let's say something major happened in the comic storyline, like the possible eradication of walkers or I don't know, the return of… more the military? If the game goes ten years in the future, it could ruin some master plan Robert Kirkman has in store. The guy could have tons of twisted stuff planned, but it needs time.
