Issue 149 TWD
this is probably my favourite issue of this volume, and while it will probably change with issue 150 this one was nonetheless a great setup for the upcoming events. All the communities look on their way to crumble, and with Dwight leaving the Saviors for good there's no telling where the story is gonna go, considering also the tension harboring in Alexandria and the Hilltop. Could this be Rick's end? Or his network's? I somewhat doubt it, however I'd be pretty surprised if there weren't any major deaths (Andrea's?) in the next issue. What do you think?

Fuck yeah Lucille's back.
I've yet to read it but the cover is crazy. Funny how Negan returns whereas the TV Show Negan is revealed lol
I don't think that what Rick is doing is going to work. I think Rick should just say to the people who so eagerly want revenge to go and try for themselves instead of pushing everyone with thier stupid (yet understandable) desire for revenge.
If he were to say that, that's probably what some of them would do, while the others would stay in Alexandria and think "whoa, this guy doesn't give a flying fuck about us, why do we let him rule in the first place?" A lot of people would die, Rick would be exiled or even killed and Alexandria would subsequently fall. There's no saying it won't happen anyway with how Rick is managing things, but at least there's a slight chance it might work. I think that ultimately Dwight will have to come to the rescue.
I guess you have a point...
So, let's see it all
Alexandria: Negen time, YAY! Pretty interesting and implies some of rick's future actions, I am now slightly suspicious that he was in fact bullshitting Eugene, we'll see later.
Hilltop: Nothing much interesting, The plot armored trio got in pretty safe, i suspect We'll see some action in there in 150, what with all the "nobody must know", so obviously someone will find out.
3.Sanctuary: Fuuuuun, i love Dwight so much and i wonder how it'll all go, The 151 cover seems to imply he'll be doing interesting stuff there.
4.So we now knows who is the traitor(issue 150 is called "Betrayed") in about 90% certainty, as we see the parents of josh, one of the Dead of the 144 slaughter, greeted by Morton, husband to another of the 144 deceased, as well as the father of one of the jerkass kids who beat up Sophia and a former supporter of Gregory, nothing can come out of that that's good for Maggie or Rick.
So, Issue 150 has been advertised as being a major game changer for a loong time, I expect some nice plot twists, Major character deaths(One of Andrea, Lydia and Carl doesn't make it), and as the cover promises, crippled one handed rick somehow managing to do ass kicking, I think that one will focus on the hilltop mostly and little bit on Alexandria.
Embrace yourselves survivors, in a few months from now we'll think "TWD before and 150 and after 150".
This was a really good issue. I loved the dialogue between Josh's parents and I'm thinking that some of the families of the people the Whisperer's killed are going to try to kill Rick or at least remove him from power.
i know that it's very easy to connect the betrayal thing with Morton Rose and Josh's parents but what if it's something a little more subtle? Like Rick betraying his ideals of civilization and killing people again? Anyway, as for the rest I agree with you.
Good point, i would definitely like that better than my theory :P, Morton is still obviously up to something bad, though.
Yeah, that guy's definitely problem.
I finally read the issue. It's about to go down.
• Lucille's back!
• I really expected Negan to be unleashed.
• Negan's talk on being a leader.
Based on the next issue cover, it will be a bloodbath.
Good issue. Thought Rick was gonna let The Motherfucker Negan out, at least for a little bit. But now the cover makes total since. Idk though, it might've been bullshit, but that speech Rick gave Eugene made some since. To me at least, gather like 50 men and women, give them heavy arms, and let them slay as many walkers as they can. You take out the walkers, you take out their defense system.
Yeah, but you've seen the herd the Whisperers have in issue 144. Fifty men will never be enough to kill all those walkers, and Alpha would probably unleash them on Alexandria in case an attack were to happen. Unfortunately the people in Alexandria are either too dumb or too blinded by revenge desire to realize that the smart thing to do would be to not attack and just defend themselves in the very improbable case the Whispereres were to attack first.
I love this guy lol.
The people of Alexandria need something. The Whisperers claimed a lot of their people, like it was nothing. Then retreated back into their camouflage. You can't go gung ho into a herd of walkers, I agree. But you can't just do nothing either.
Speak of the cover have you seen the other covers for 150?, there are three other designs apart from that one and they all look awesome.
It looks like it could be a good issue if they feel the need to make special covers and it being the 150th issue milestone.
That something is to prepare themselves and defend their place in case the Whisperers attack again, but guys like Morton are too dumb and hot headed to realize that. Rick should also introduce documents (kinda) so that the communities can tell their own from them.
Tony Moore's one (the first) looks a lot like the cover for issue #1. That's nostalgic.
I noticed that, i think that is a really cool idea and a good callback to the original cover and i like the fact that he included faces of characters who have died in the broken windows.
Here is a pic of both covers if anyone wants to see both of them together.
His language is probably the funniest in the Walking Dead series. I can't even stay mad at him for killing Glenn.
According to Kirkman issue 300 is supposed to mark TWD's end, but he isn't exactly known as a coherent guy, so everything's possible.
Fantastic Negan dialogue, as usual
Also, I need to start finding excuses to use this as a reaction image or something:
