Why was Michonne mini series delayed?
As the title says, why was it delayed? What happened to late fall? I'm tired of waiting I just want the Michonne series and season 3.

So they can improve on stuff, or release it around Walking Dead season 6
EDIT: Oh, and to shorten time between episodes.
They wanted to release the series on a tighter schedule and polish it as well. It was delayed, but instead of waiting 5-8 weeks for an episode, it's possible the schedule might resemble Minecraft: Story Mode's schedule where episodes are 2-4 weeks apart.
Call me old fashioned, but I would actually rather the angsty wait for 5-8 weeks than an "Oh, it's out already. Alright," kind of wait.
What, really? I mean, I can understand feeling that for bi-weekly releases, but I think 3-4 weeks is the sweet spot of having quick releases while still allowing Telltale to make minor revisions from fan feedback (since revisions should not be extensive). Even so, I still would be completely fine with bi-weekly releases.
Yeah, it just won't really feel as exciting as it did (for me atleast) for the 2 month waits for TWDG and TFTBL.
Just.....NO. i think its more reasonable to have a tight schedule. just NO.
What Do you mean? If we have to wait 5 - 8 weeks, then that means we will have to wait for TWD Season 3 even Longer
I prefer longer releases too.
1-2 weeks is super short; I don't think I'd be able to keep up with that in terms of my schedule, and 3-4 weeks is even too short in my opinion. Like I said elsewhere, I prefer letting the episodes sink in after a few months, looking and analyzing them from all different angles, and seeing what theories people come up with when speculating on future episodes. That would be lost with shorter release times. Also, with Telltale's story-based games, there's obviously different playthroughs you can do, and there's a lot to take in these games, especially if you're looking closer at each individual character, and trying to figure out what their motivations are. Imo you can only judge a character completely after you see what they do in every playthrough, in ever circumstance. Otherwise I wouldn't feel right judging them, or making future decisions in future playthroughs relevant to them.
But then there are all sorts of players, like those players that like to play the episodes only once, and play all episodes in a linear fashion, without doing any alternate playthroughs until they're done with the story (which is fine; I actually did this with TWAU, long after all 5 episodes were released.
) But personally I think it's a lot more fun noticing all the little details of what can happen in other playthroughs immediately after an episode comes out, and I think it's a lot of fun doing it with other people on the Telltale forums too.
Also like I said before, having shorter release periods means we'd have newer episodes for less time! Instead of having new Michonne episodes for 6 months or so, we'd have it for only 3 months or so! After those 3 months are up, I'd be a bit melancholy again lol. Compared to 3 months, I'd take the 6.
I think it's a combination of everything mentioned here: a bit more time to polish the first episode and map out the other two, to make it coincide with the back-half of S6 of the show, and to tighten the release window
Minecraft also probably plays into it, as they probably want to start Michonne after Minecraft finishes
