No, the problem is that you call Asher, a badass character and maybe one of the best characters Telltale ever made a woman, even though he is a man. Also, if it is a joke, I have to say, it isn't a good joke at all. :P

Beshka. A bad ass woman that fights for her adopted family. She enjoys the thrill of fighting, loves a good time, and has no crappy cliche female weakness bull spit.
Putting my dislike for Sylvi aside, Cotter was gonna die anyway regardless of Gared's choice. I figured I would make him at least die with a good cause, rather than just having him be dead. The effect of empowering Elsera's control may or may not be temporary, but even if it was temporary, it will at least give her strength for a while until she can find any other possible solution (but since I did two playthroughs, I did my Rodrik's path with nightshade and Asher's path with Ritual).
Regarding why she would control them, it's obviously to protect the North Grove (Josera has his warg abilities, but obviously it's not enough, there are just too many wights, Elsera's blood magic controlled beings makes things a bit more even and helps them make a stand against these wights.
Imo when it comes to Jon and Ygritte's relationship- more similar would be Sylvi and Gared
Only similar thing I found with Sylvi and Ygritte was that both of them were wildlings. In fact, I found Sylvi to be much more similar to Arya in the TV Show, after seeing Gared and Sylvi's interaction.
she was pretty nice to my Gared, despite the choices my Gared made
I haven't played ep6 yet, I only watched it on yt and guy chose b… morelood magic there, so I didn't know how Elsera reacts when we disagree.
The way she doesn't care about Gared's choice (or as you said, she could quite easily accept it) about Cotter's heart makes me think she knows blood magic is bad, she doesn't completely trust in this power, but still she goes in using it. It's like ok, you can make my magic stronger for a while, but I will end up with rebellion of my servants anyway. That makes pain and devotion of Cotter completely useless- we will see in next season (knowing Telltale illusion of making choices that can be possible- I'm still frustrated that no matter what I do I would lose Ironwood and have Ethan killed).
I also want to know why she is even controlling these guys- was there any clarification about that? If so, I missed it. They wanted to go away … [view original content]
Thanks for the answer, UnnamedSoldier#3 - that's what I meant when I was asking my question- where these servants came from. Firstly I thought that maybe they were from the beggining with Josera and Elsera (I can't imagine their father to leave them only in 2 behind a Wall), but at some moment they refused to deffend North Grove anymore so she used blood magic to make them stay.
After your answer everything is clear now.
Hopefully our unanswered questions about the north grove like that and why Gregor thought it was so important are answered in episode 1 or 2… more at the latest in season 2.
I'm thinking those creepy servants she has is the ice river clan that Syvli said never came back after searching for it. Either killed by wights and resurrected with blood magic or the more dark possibility being Elsera did it without their consent.
But if you were Cotter, you would prefer to die from a poison, without any harm or looking at your heart still beating with opened chest?
And again- I find Gregor as a smart guy, so if North Grove is so important and he left there only 2 people in deffense? Why aren't there some loyal to Forresters soldiers? Ok, place was hidden and maybe better to keep small team in North Grove, but still- 2 people?
Season 2 will explain the history of Elsera, so maybe there is still chance I will understand her motivation to force other living and thinking creatures to deffend North Grove...
When it comes to Arya, I find Ryon the most similar to her. In my dreams he would become the assasin in Braavos

But that's the thing, we're not playing as Cotter - we're playing as Gared. And I put protecting the North Grove as a priority above all else in my Asher's path (though in Rodrik's path, I chose nightshade, just to see any differences in Season 2).
The North Grove is beyond the Wall, and the weather is practically freezing there. Forresters soldiers who are unaccustomed to the severe cold would have had little chance to survive (and if cold didn't kill them, then wildlings or wights would have).
Also, sending any force (even a small force) beyond the wall would probably have attracted attention to any other Houses/Nights Watch - and the North Grove had to be protected (to do that the circle of trust of people knowing about the North Grove had to be kept very small, so Gregor only told Duncan, Gared, Rodrik [there is a dialogue option for him if Duncan is the traitor], Josera and Elsera).
As for Ryon, I found her to be most similar to Rickon from the show (both of them being pretty helpless, and needing others' help. Plus, they are the youngest of all the children in their families). Arya in my eyes seems so similar with Sylvi, because both have this free spirit in their character that do not want to be restricted/restrained by any means.
Personally I had no problem at all with Elsera, and she remains one of my favourite characters. If you still don't like her, that's fine - everyone has their own preferences I guess (like some people like Gwyn, but I can't stand her).

OMG YES! When she did that pose in EP3 when Rodrik met her, and sheathed her knife, I was all "So sexy... Huh? I can't seem to remember why I came here" XD
Yeah it's a bummer that you have to kind of hurt her feelings to stop her from being dragged off near the end. It takes a truly good woman to look past someone's appearance and still feel the same love because of how they are on the inside.
Two of my favourite women were Elaena- because she was smart, brave and accepted Rodrik despite his scars. Plus initially, I gaver her the option of backing out of the proposal, but she stood by me, and I was touched. Poor girl was so sad when Arthur....... even though she was angry at me, I understood it and she had the decency to apologise. It felt like what a real woman would do.
Also I love Talia! How can you not love her, that cheeky, smart and sweet lass? She was the ONLY reason I submitted to Gryff in the courtyard! I was afraid that Ramsay would take both these women and ask me to choose who to save!
Although not my favourite, I also liked Sylvi. Even when she threatened to gut Gared, you could tell she was terrified and didn't love violence.
I wanted Mira and Podrick to have something! I guess he is a good, loyal guy and a little shy; he seems Mira's type.
I hoped they could escape King's Landing together!
If we get to play as Rodrik again in Season 2. Talia is the main and strongest reason for my Rodrik to keep on living and fighting. Everything Rodrik does will be to ensure that Talia has a home and is prepared for the danger ahead.
Seriously, I am immensely attached and protective of Talia.

No! No! No! Elaena loves Rodrik despite his scars, stands up to Gryff, grieves for her brother's loss, apparently is told by her father to never come home!
Definitely not boring, in my books!
Like the Westeros equivalent of Clem? I hope Talia doesnt have to kill Rodrik to stop him from turning!
I hear you, I love their relationship. I thought we would have a choice of whether or not to marry her off to Gryff. I would have immediately shot that down! Over my dead body! Lol!

Like the Westeros equivalent of Clem, only so much deeper, since Talia is true and well, your family and little sister. I hope it doesn't sound weird for saying this, but I feel Rodrik is also a father figure of sort to Talia, since he is the eldest and head of his family, resembles his father, Gregor and their close relationships and Rodrik's protectiveness makes them seem like father and daughter.

Yes very attractive indeed. Well then again I'd find her attractive in anything or nothing at all.
Oh Wolfenus.. when will you learn...

I liked Mira best. I wasn't too fussed by Gywn, and Talia bugged me at the start. Beska and Elaena were good though.
