Rodrik killing Gryff was so satisfying, also my priority was ALWAYS Ryon so I that's what I went for.
I don't think there was a problem with that decision it seemed the right thing to do, Gryff's a tyrant who if survived would take over Ironrath, Torrhen might come out to watch over it but I'm thinking a trusted ally. I'd rather have an enemy that's predictable rather than one that does what they please.
I'm one of those people who wanted to save Ryon so I killed Gryff and felt like I messed up,but after doing my second playthrough as Asher and opting to poison Ludd I realized its lose lose regardless Ryon lives but your mother dies just in different ways.
yeah i read spoilers before playing the game so actually planned before whom to kill and not but the people who are unaware of the spoilers regret their decision of killing gryff and ludd running away
Are you sure about that? Gwyn said that Ebbert is at the Citadel, but that alone is not enough information to assume that he will become a maester without right to inheritance. Oberyn Martel also also studied at the Citadel, yet he kept his title as prince.
Yea I agree. The way I see it, House Forrester puts family above all, even vengeance so when given the choice to face Gryff and save Ron or go after Ludd as Rodrik, I went for the former option. Plus, having to deal with immensely annoying Gryff in season 2 would just be incredibly irritating.

I was just thinking about this earlier, and I don't think what the Forrester's did was anywhere near as bad as the Red Wedding.
The difference between the two is that the Forrester's knew the Whitehills were going to attack unless they "agreed" to Ludd's peace terms (and let's face it, the peace would not last long). The Forrester's simply used it to their advantage to ambush the Whitehills/assassinate the head of the house and the main source of their woes.
The Red Wedding was just incredibly treacherous and despicable. Yeah, Robb broke his oath and married Talisa instead of a Frey, but at the same time Walder broke his oath before Robb did by refusing to support Robb since the Frey's were banner men of the Tully's. Walder had no right to demand a marriage
Now this was tricky for me - in my first play through I was Rodrik, and before the episode came out I was absolutely sure I was going to kil… morel Ludd if I had a choice. Ludd was by far the smarter choice over gryff and near everyone said they would kill Ludd if they had a choice.
But Telltale - being clever - managed to make killing Ludd into the more morally grey decision each time. As Rodrik you had to make the call to sacrifice Ryon to kill Ludd, and as Asher you had to watch your own mother kill herself. This was a very good move, because everyone is well aware Ludd is by far the more dangerous of the two. Grief would have originally been just a revenge killing, but in both cases unless you were willing to make a very tough call Ludd ended up alive.
In my first play through, I decided (after much agonising) to go after Gryff and save Ryon (backup in case I died, plus morality) in the camp. Although it was satisfying (especially when Gr… [view original content]

@brucewayne Rodrik was not crippled anymore when we were given that option to choose between him and Asher. Why do you think he threw his cane in the fire? because he was cold?
I ambushed Ludd as Asher and killed Gryff. I think that using poison is just downright shitty in general, because it's not how Asher does things. I really dont think Asher would kill his mother just to kill Ludd. It just...it dosen't make sense to me. And only a child would fall for the old poison trick (R.I.P. Joffrey). I liked having my own personal Red Wedding. If I'm gonna kill Ludd, I'm killing him with a sword.
EDIT: I hate Gwyn, and I'm never siding with her. My Baskher ship will sail until one of them is dead.
I ambused Ludd as Asher largely because i thought that would be the prime payback for Gryff having his own father die right in front of him along with hopefully tearing House Whitehill apart right then and there! Unfortunately that did not happen which was honestly for the best because I think the relationship between Ludd and Asher is very intriguing and needs to be explored more! Hopefully it is shown more in depth in season 2 because i believe there are prime opponents for one another!

Two other children. Ebbert's training to be a maester, he's no threat. He might even be assigned to a House by season 2.
