A way to sneak Lee back into the game.
Put him in the Michonne series. Have her visit Savannah and depending on your choices in season one, have her find Lee's corpse / walker Lee. (If he's a walker you could choose to have Michonne put him out of his misery or not.)
That sounds awesome, right? Or am I just a heartless jerk for even thinking of this?

That actually is possible, especially when you consider that Lee died very close to the river itself. The only problem is whether or not it'd make sense for Michonne and her crew to go up to Savannah in the first place.
The Walking Dead Michonne won't have anything to do with S1or S2 I think.
I actually stopped reading the comics before Michonne showed up. (I should probably go back and catch up.) Whereabouts is that group, geographically?

Honestly I'd prefer they build something new. Them running into his corpse would just seem like leeching
That's....actually not a bad idea. It would make sense after all.
I'd prefer they just leave Lee alone and stop trying to capitalize on emotions to his character.
They extended the release date because they wanted to be a stand alone game, meaning that season 2 will not be required to play the game. One would assume because they want the game to be none related to clem story.
lee is dead but this could make sense but michonne would probably have no reason to go to savanah and i think the developers are tryng to have a new story without clem or lee

I agree, also I dont want to see Lee's dead body. I want to remember him as he was.
