[SPOILER] Illogical moment
Hi.
I started replaying Season 2 yesterday and I'm now in the 5th episode, just when Luke dies. I realized that he's death is stupid. It's stupid because of one thing: a man in a freezing water (even if he passed out) he can survive like... 2-3 mins or sth, so there was still a chance to save him. Although Telltale could bring him back in Season 3, that would be great. If they'll do it, I will be so happy, Luke's one of my favourite characters. I searched some and I found out Luke was ment to be alive. He would replace Jane. So it would be a very tough choice: Luke or Kenny, because I like them both.
So, what's your take about all of this?

His death did seem shoehorned. I feel they realised that they had brought Luke too far and needed a quick way to off him and... 'oh hey, a lake!', cue forced death scene.
I felt closer to Luke than I did to Jane, the bonding scenes should have been with him rather than her. An older brother dynamic with Luke would have worked well I think (better than the cringey older sister dynamic with Jane), he was by far the most human character and clearly had a soft spot for Clem (there were already hints of Kenny v. Luke earlier in the game when you picked Luke or Kenny to sit with at the cabin). A choice between Luke and Kenny would have really tested me.

He was ment to replace her. There are soundfiles on the Internet which show it.
And someone maybe saved him, he might be alive but we never know.

It would made more sense to me if telltale made him leaving with Mike, Bonnie and Arvo instead of killing him, he could even come back in season 3
Yeah probably a man at full health, did we all forget he was shot in the leg like a day before?

Well he did get shot in the leg the day before. Although I'm still pissed out of all the characters they choose to kill off they choose Luke, there is some logic behind his death.
Of course it doesn't make sense, nothing in season 2 makes any damn sense.
I wonder why he didn't pull out his machete to kill the walker while underwater.
I Really think, that TTG swapped Jane And Luke. It would Be better If Jane died instead of luke.
Or just have Jane stay unknown and Luke stay alive.

what's logical about a group of adults walking out onto some ice because their prisoner says so, and when they have a baby and an 11 year old with them? It's the most illogical thing you can do.

I wouldn't say it was the most illogical, it was still the fastest known way to get to the other side.

When I think of it now, TTG would probably do the same ending so choice between Luke and Kenny would be very, very, very tough, but I think I'd choose to kill Kenny, just my thoughts. Or maybe they'd do something like: "Luke and Kenny stay alive and they come to Wellington". Gosh, that'd be one of the best endings!

The most I've ever heard is a soundfile for him getting out of the ice, that doesnt mean anything. Things change in production. And even if that changed that doesnt mean Luke lasted all the way till the end to replace Jane. Luke vs Kenny was one of the most predicted things ever
They killed Luke because of some girl (I can't remember her username) on TTG forums who obsessively wanted to Luke and Clem be together. TTG not wanting to be accused of pedophilia they just killed Luke. And Luke vs Kenny could be, but didn't have to happen.
He's alive. Went into hiding and was looking for some temple, I heard.
I hardly believe telltale changed its entire storyline because of one person.
