I agree completely. I could see the end of Clementine's story (although going on indefinitely with Clem would be in the spirit of what Kirkman intended for TWD.) However, I think Telltale will stick with TWD as a product line for a good while. It (along with Minecraft, GoT, and some of the other IPs they are acquiring rights to) are sure cash cows with lots of dramatic potential to be mined. It lets them both tell the types of stories they want to tell (albeit with their hands occasionally tied) while also helps to ensure the long-term viability of the company.
It may be the end of the Clementine trilogy, but they won't stop making Walking Dead games
It's a major cash cow for the developers, it was the series which put them into the spotlight
Yes but I'd seriously rather not see Clementine die though, I honestly think it would be so emotionally painful if they killed off Clementine since she's only a child don't forget.
Funny remark about Kirkman, I knew I wasn't the only one. I believe it is because this is all the guy really has worthwhile to show off and is clinging onto it for dear life to the point of riding it into the ground as he does not seem to have too many other genius ideas as say Steven King. So your right and I wouldn't doubt he'd try to milk this cash cow until he himself becomes a walking dead.
As for Clementine no I've never been to a walker stalker convention. I mean I do like walking dead but not that much. However, I can understand the passion for that character to a rational point. Folks at times do get too carried away with it to the point of it becoming straight-jacket eerie. The AMC/Daryl Dixon fan-base are no pushovers either might even be worse. I'd half expect an actual riot or boycott of the studio if or when they kill Norman Reedus's character off. Also I admit I was pretty fond of the character Clementine (within sane reason) and even more so after season 2 concluded. Still hope to know what awaits Clem next on her journey of tribulations.
Well it's going to be Telltale's longest series because Kirkman wants to continue the comics until he is dead. The game will continue as lon… moreg as the love for Clem runs deep among fans. People go crazy over this character. If you been to a Walker Stalker Con Q and A, you would know what I mean.
I think it should be the last season with Clementine as the protagonist. That way it'll be like some sort of Clemmy trilogy! It'll have to end in a way that leaves people satisfied, basically saying to the audience "This is the end of this story" and leaving us thinking, "Yeah, I don't need to revisit this charecter any longer".
I'm hoping anyway, because if season 2 taught me anything it's that TellTale haven't a clue what to do with this charecter. Maybe they're giving themselves a wider gap between S2 and S3 than between S1 and S2 in order to give themselves more time to focus on this charecter (and hopefully a better, more focused story).
People are going to buy the Michonne series, so it's possible. Besides, there's a lot of people in the fan base who don't want to continue Clementine's story.
Unlike most angry players I actually enjoyed exploring the world of TWD through the eyes of a child protagonist, even if that said child protagonist was made over-powered at times.
Season 2 wasn't as good as Season 1, but to me Telltale's adaptation of TWD has become the story of Clementine, just as the comics are the story of Rick Grimes. From a 9 year old girl rescued from the apocalypse by an escaped convict, to an 11 year old child prodigy at survival, I want to feel continually invested in this story defined by our personal choices.
I'm happy that Telltale is making a Season 3 - even hopeful that they've learnt from their past mistakes and will try to recapture the feel of Season 1 but just how long can Telltale keep going? They did make 3 Sam & Max games, can they surpass that limit with TWD? Or will they be done with TWD after producing three full games from the licence?
The TV show is in its 6th season (and will probably last until the 8th or 9th) but can Telltale follow suit? Do they have a pre-determined number of TWD titles in mind? Or will they keep making more as long as sales stay strong?
There will come a sad day when Telltale no longer makes TWD games, presumably when their licence to the IP expires, but is that day close at hand or years away from now?
I think that all depends on how they want the season to play out. Who knows, depending on the story line for this upcoming season, there may be at least one more. But in all honesty, I personally think Season 3 should be its last.

I don't know about you, but I see Clem die all the time when I play through.

As long as the game gives them money, they wont stop.

Nate was a legend. Except for that part where he casually killed that old couple for no reason. Still a legend though.
I want them to continue Clementine's story but not at all in the way they handled it in S2, Clem imo wasn't handled very well there.
I don't see Season 3 being the last one. I think TWDG will end up being one of the most likely series to keep going for a few more years yet.
But I think pretty much all the fans of the comics and the tv series would buy the Michonne series. isn't she a badass character and a fan fav?
Agreed.
I could definitely see this as the end for The Walking Dead, or at least the end of Clems story
I wouldnt mind that, if they could bring something new to the table. Im hoping for that with the Michonne series.
Maybe Clem's story, but not as a whole... I don't think.
Im sure it can only get better!
I hope season 3 its not last season but i hope season 3 its the end of clementine story
I don't hope season 3 is the last season, they have a lot to make up for with the disappointment of season 2.
Thread: Will Season 3 be the last?

I hope season 3 is not the last, I would love to see who Clem grows up to be.
