I'm more worried about after February, the only games I look forward to are TWD: Michonne, Firewatch and The Walking Dead Season 3, and season 3 might not get released this year. My life is going to feel so empty.

So, yeah, it's different - but it's intentional. As for why, you'll have to ask someone who reads the comics.
