Right, I just got too used to them. I'm probably all bored though 'cause I spent the last week studying for midterm exams. But, now I can relax and get back into the swing of things!
If it makes you feel better, think how nice it will be to have Telltale going back to a quick, consistent schedule once February hits (if their Minecraft releases for Episodes 1-4 are any indication).

I'm pretty sure that Telltale delayed it on purpose, so they could finish more of the game so that people wouldn't get upset about long waiting times again. That's what they mean with a 'strict timetable', they actually have more than Episode 1 finished by now, possibly even working on Episode 3 already. If it had been released in December, we would still have waited until February for Episode 2. So there's very little chance of it being delayed.
I'm sure they probably have more than episode 1 done by now (i.e. they're probably working on multiple episodes at once); however I feel they're possibly still working on episode 1 still as well, like some finishing touches. Otherwise if ep 1 was completely done, we'd have a specific release date for February by now, but that isn't the case....Or who knows, maybe they have finished ep 1 and aren't giving us a release date for some other reason.

That means we wouldn't have a release date for February anyway, and can also conclude that the first Episode is not coming on the second of February, or they'd likely have hyped it up more.

We already know it's coming next month. A tweet saying 'next month' is even less useful than a tweet saying 'soon'. At least this way Telltale has already acknowledged the game and we can hope for more infos...soon.
