Asher's New Outfit?
So what does everyone think of Asher's new outfit, from The Ice Dragon?
I thought it looked cool and suited him, however I was disappointed as I wanted to see how Asher would look in proper northern armour, like the kind Rodrik wore. I mean look at this:
Amazing. Anyway, presumably, this will be his attire now, moving forward, so how do you feel about it?

Asher's new outfit looks like reused Malcolm's clothes with different colour. Kinda lazy from Telltale, since Malcolm is probably going to be playable in Season 2 and playing as two characters with almost identical clothes will be weird.
Well, I suppose they wanted to give Asher a distinctive look; separating him from Gregor and Rodrik. Plus, Asher regarded Malcolm as his true father figure, and he even says it was him that actually raised him, so maybe the fact Asher would dress like Malcolm, instead of his own father, makes sense?
Or maybe I'm just giving Telltale too much credit :P
Maybe in Season 2, Malcolm will be wearing Asher's sellsword clothes in a different colour?
You can't deny that Asher still looks good in the new outfit.
Brilliant idea. :P
That would definietly make Malcolm badass.
He didn't wear Northern style armor because the Whitehills would have been like "wtf why r u wearing armor inside your hall if we're marrying the houses for peace lul"
Fair point, but Gryff and Ludd were fully armoured.
And Asher put that outfit on before he had even spoken to the Whitehills.
I actually felt like it didn't suit him that well It just didn't feel natural to me and my attention kind of went to his clothing rather than the story but hey, it's just clothes
I love his new outfit!
My reaction when I first saw it was this:
Sees the army. "Oh my god... Oh my god..." Sees Asher's new outfit. "OH MY GOD! You're looking mighty fine."
Fair point as well. It's more of a custom for the host lords to be unarmed and unarmored because it shows they have good intentions in regards to their guests. It would be pretty reckless and stupid for the Whitehills to take the Forresters at their word and come unarmed, but in keeping with the lore their swords should have been hung on the wall before sitting to feast.
As for your second point, maybe it was just more comfortable than his badass sellsword outfit? Lol
I liked it. It's fitting for Asher as a Lord. I imagine he'll have a change in Season 2 because he'll be on the road and presumably a fugitive until he can gather a force against the Whitehills.
But...
Style > Protection
Looks hot
It's fine that way and better.
I like it, clothes truly make the man.
The real protection is the reluctance the enemy will have to damage such fine clothes on such a strapping lad.
He still looks cool with his new outfit but it does have a hand-me-down-robe feel hahaha! Oh he looks dashing wearing the Northern armour. I hope that will be his outfit for next season
Nah I prefer his sellsword armor much more
Then here are the means to remake yourself!
I'd do him in both.
Figured as much.
Glad to see you're back from the dead, by the way.
Thanks babe
Bless your kind heart, I can now die happily!
By the way, how did you actually accomplish this witchery?
Ahah, thank you ^.^
I swapped Asher's Body by Rodrik's, since they share the same base model it fitted perfectly.
Fucking hacker.
Can I see rodrik in Asher's essos outfit? Always wanted to see how funny that'd look
That's amazing.. One more teeny favour?
Because Royland and Duncan are same models (I think..) would you mind swapping their outfits to each other? Be epic to see Duncan in Royland suit and vice versa.
As well as seeing Asher in Rodrik's blue outfit.
Sorry, I don't have the PC version :'c
Rodrik actually hardens my nipples immensely in that outfit.
I actually wouldn't mind if there was a TTGoT AU where Rodrik and Asher trade places i.e. Rodrik runs away to Essos instead, tired of Gregor putting all the pressure of being heir onto him, and Gregor decides to focus more on training Asher, who is now the next in line for the title of lord. So basically, Rodrik's the one who becomes a sellsword and Asher's the one who gets injured at the Red Wedding.
Sorry if I rambled on too long.
Thanks @IronWoodLover for these pictures!
Why don't you write the AU? this is your opportunity!
You just gave me the best idea ever!
Oh you actually would? I expected you to pass. It was merely a suggestion, but that's great!
Oh god, he looks so much more badass with that armor, and that lone spauldron. Why didn't telltale include it ?
10/10 would read
Go read then.
I don't even know what to say. Both of theirs outfits fits one another so perfectly.
Maybe we should try and give Asher's blue noble attire to Rodrik and see what will come out of that?
Royland and Duncan have their head attached to their body model. I'm unable to swap their outfits then ^-^. Maybe someone who knows how to edit models can do that (I can only swap them :$).
About Asher with Rodrik's outfit, I'll try to get it done today ^•^.
